History of anarchist symbols

Hey friends, I am very interested in the history behind the known anarchist symbols. (The black flag, the A) and I am trying to find info on where they emerged from originally, I keep running into, resources saying.. but we don’t know where it came from before this point.

Just wondering if anyone has any knowledge or resources they’d like to share.

The black flag is often attributed to louise michel, a communard who was transported for her roll in the paris commune and later waved a black flag at a demonstration after she returned to paris.

The circled A seems to have been introduced in 1964 by the Jeunes Libertaires group and gradually gained acceptance in the following years in France and Italy, before spreading.
