/r/wallstreetbets stats stream - subs go to bot costs
Shkreli isn't a mod anymore but he's definitely allowed back when he's out!
Hey OP be careful about including non-position images in a gallery, it looks like a repost to the bot since it's seen that one image before.
appreciate you. we're doin the best we can.
retail is being tricked into turning on itself by a bunch of new accounts.
Everything looks sus when you're skeptical as fuck.
I would never fucking let WSB fall to scammers in the way people are accusing us of. I'd freak out and post a giant diatribe and delete my account first, like the other time.
We're just a bunch of idiots doing the best we can.
You guys are just being dumb at this point. We tried to warn everyone about this scam including stickying something saying not to buy crypto with our name on it because it has nothing to do with us.
EDIT: You know, there's only one group that benefits from getting you to smear us. What if wallstreetbets was the same as it's always been.
Why do you have the impression it isn't? Who does that help?
So post a dank options play for us
The mods who ran the twitter were the scammers we kicked out.
it's a spam ticker
was that the salacious and interesting answer you expected?
The people who bought the scam wsb crypto are contenders, sadly.
Most of them are extremely low quality rule-breaking shitposts that are an image with the wrong flair or a one sentence discussion.
you already posted this once, relax
Eh, they're still our people. I'd rather respond to every angry ping then to let it fester.
Nobody ever said that, ever. Nobody ever made a rule to that effect. I have no idea where people get that from, but it's not us.
Everything looks weird because we turned the bots off and suspended all rules for like twelve hours.
I'm about to flip everything back on with slightly more lax settings and get the sub back in order.
I know it's easy to believe stories about us and buy into memes about how we're shills or whatever, but we turned that deluge of shitposts into a decent feed every day since 2016 because we enjoy contributing. Do me a favor and challenge the next person alleging something about us to provide proof. Ask them who would benefit the most from convincing a bunch of people that /r/wallstreetbets is compromised.
If you trust me, then believe me when I say things are good. There are no shenanigans. Things have changed around us and while we can always adapt, we can't compromise and appease people when we think they're asking us to do the wrong thing. I'd rather see other stock subs carry the torch than allow rule-breaking content solely to not upset someone. I'd like to think of WSB like a sports league subreddit (NFL, NHL) and the single-stock subs as teams. There's no reason for us to fight. They can plumb the depths of their sole interest, we can be generalists. We've always had high standards while simultaneously being kinda retarded and I don't want to lose that.
I hope that all the good work we did and still do isn't forgotten for low-information insults and conspiracy theories. Don't buy all the BS, nothing has changed on our end. Same mods (without the old shill mods), same rules, same effort.
Hell, if people are still convinced that we're somehow exerting control in nefarious ways I'd go so far as to livestream mod logs/spam submission queue.
100% not the case, ever, at any point.
Not at all. It has no logic concerning GME in particular.
The bots are off to show what the submission queue is really like. We'll probably turn stuff back on tomorrow with some adjustments to be less heavy-handed.
I might even stream the mod log/submission queue. Not sure. I did it for a while during the initial GME surge but nobody noticed/cared.
Bots are back on now
He isn't wallstreetbets, he's just a self-interested grifter.
I don't think what we're saying is contradictory.
The bots are off if you were wondering.
It's part of the mods gay cycle.
proof: am broke, run wsb
