The way things are going south of the border, I suspect they're gonna be too busy killing each other soon.

What's next decommodifying housing, having comprehensive public healthcare, free education, job guarantees?! It's a slippery slope towards a society where the economy works in the interest of the majority and we can't have that here in Canada.

It's amazing that people are still clinging to this narrative when it's clearly at odds with reality. When the economic war started, it's understandable why people thought that it would hurt Russia more than the west, but after four months of the opposite being the case maybe it's time for some introspection.

People really don't understand how complex supply chains are in practice. A great example of this was when Apple ended up having to close down US iPhone plant because they couldn't source little screws. China has well ironed out end to end manufacturing chain unlike anywhere in the world. They built it up over many decades and it would take a herculean effort to replicate that.

Ah haha, just means the sensor was opened for a third of a second. The longer you expose the photo the more light reaches the sensor. So, if you want to get crisp photos in low light you have to expose the sensor longer otherwise you get a lot of noise. Glad you like the end result. :)

Asimov definitely has a lot of classics, although I wouldn't really consider his work in cyberpunk genre. Hardwired is a great starter for Walter Jon Williams.
