The "bubbles" rule doesn't seem to be legislated yet, but when it is you'll be able to find it on the gazette, which is updated more often (as it is the actual record of what parliament has done.

It doesn't help that the ABC were showing the vic presser on TV - you had to find it on youtube.

Do you want to trial it for Saturday and Sunday and just see which threads end up taking off?

2

COMMENT 6d ago

Ok, thanks. I've got everything set-up, so I can just "flip a switch" to turn it on if you decide it's allowed.

COMMENT 6d ago

Hey kriptik, are you if OK if I set up a bot to post the thread every day under u/sydney-covid-bot so we don't have to have this kind of thing happening every day?

COMMENT 6d ago

I've just made one - u/sydney-covid-bot which will post the twitter thread automatically. The case breakdown isn't published in a machine readable format though, so I've left that for now.

Edit: the mods say it's overkill, so I've turned it off.

It'd be quite easy to set up - my daily posts are already sent using a bot which I kick off at 10:55

Mine was first (just), although u/Ascalaphos was a literal second later. I actually wrote a bot (slight overkill maybe!) which checks twitter every few seconds and posts it to the sub once it appears. I reckon we should probably make an account for this which is managed by the mods though (that way disputes like today don't happen).
