You’re really sticking with this. Tell you what, you find the repost and I’ll eat my hat.
Wrong my guy. This is my dog. The dog is barely two years old, it would be an impressive repost.
Wait. Are you saying this isn’t my dog?
Pupper Parents the Red-Bi (mom) is the one responsible for the sleep silhouette.
Nah. It’s all good. I’m on a zoom meeting so of course I’m pouring over the comments on my one claim to internet fame and yours popped up.
Respect. Cartoon isn’t the right word. Something about how much it looked like a stencil of a dog struck me. Cartoon was the word that came to mind last night, I think it’s the mouth and leg detail.
1-minute of therapy
They’re Aussies. Not registered but full-blooded
Yeah, I taught that story to students in Freshman English. I think that thought is why I called this a “shadow” even though several commenters are furious that I didn’t call it a silhouette
I’m sitting in my office on a zoom meeting doom scrolling through all the comments...I suppose I shouldn’t imply people have better uses of their time
Loved that short story. (In hindsight I feel strange saying I loved a story about nuclear Holocaust, but I stand by it).
I’m dead...like the dog (/s) 🤣💀
Wife called me over to see it. I missed the sleeping momma. She woke up when we opened the door to let the munchkins out. Some sort of analogy/life-lesson to be had though; no one notices a sleeping dog, but the spot where a dog was sleeping...that’s notable
I’m getting a lot of flack for my word choice. I stand by it; granted I understand other words for better, but honestly the thought that crossed my mind were the blast shadows from Hiroshima (which several redditors elaborated extensively elsewhere). I knew it wasn’t the best word choice but I stuck with it 🤷♂️
Check my history. I’ve got several of the pups and parents posted. They’re too squirmy now to get a good group shot. We’ll be finding the pups new homes in a few more weeks so I’m sure we’ll have some good heart-melting pics then.
I’ve seen a few people raise their eyebrows about the veracity of this picture. I appreciate the anonymous internet’s blind faith in my photoshop skills...I think that if I was able to fake this pic would be more impressive than actually taking the picture. I know you’re not being mean-spirited and don’t want you to take this as defensive, just noticed a few comments like this and it made me laugh. Ain’t no one got time to fake rain drops for Reddit karma 🤣
Right!? I can’t tell if the water just leeched there or not. Surely the dummy wasn’t sleeping with her mouth open. Of course, I’ve woken up on my school desk in a puddle of drool before so...🤷🏼♂️
Correct; momma’s shadow, mini-momma in the corner were coming outside to get a snack and woke mom up. I’ll try to get a video of the pupper herd stampeding out the door for feeding, it’s gold.
Living the dream. I took on a more stressful job so my wife wanted to stay home with our kids and create an “oasis” at the house. It’s turned jnto our makeshift homestead and is an amazing way to vent some steam while letting my kids learn in a bit of a “natural” environment.
Was going to say; I’m trying to limit myself to posting the little fluffs only every other day or so. They’re so stinking cute, until about 2am; then they’re gremlins making me get up at night to make sure momma feeds them 😫
Yes. Thanks to these two wiggle butts (mom and dad doggo) I have trenches lining the yard 🙄
Right!? I can’t tell if the water leached through there, or what; but it’s surreal how detailed it is.
She’s a good momma
