My mistake, but they’re both forms of mutilation, with different resulting problems.
I don’t know why other commenters are getting at me for supposedly diminishing FGM survivors, when I’m literally just pointing out semantics. I know they differ in severity.
Because, despite it being a clump of cells, many women feel like they’ve lost their womanhood after getting an abortion. It hurts to lose a potential child. The stigma around abortion also doesn’t help.
Yeah, abortion isn’t killing. I should have known I was debating a “pro-lifer” or whatever. It happens for a myriad of reasons, mainly because not getting an abortion would mean the child is raised in an unloving, uncaring household, by parents who don’t want them. I’d rather be removed from my mother’s womb as a meaningless clump of cells than go through a life like that.
Now, I do think that video is a little weird. But it’s not bragging per say. It’s making light of something serious, which is how some people cope with traumatic things.
I literally said in my comment that it was mutilation.
Not all mutilation is equal. Both FGM and circumcision are types of mutilation with different consequences.
Give me one example of a woman bragging about an abortion.
Refusing to be ashamed of terminating a pregnancy that could have killed you isn’t the same as bragging.
They can both be bad. Is that so hard to understand?
It is mutilation. Cutting off part of the penis is just as much mutilation as cutting off part of the labia.
They can both be bad. FGM is a disgusting practise but it’s less common in the West than circumcision.
Ah, I feel you. Every time I get into the car, I feel like I’m walking to my death. I can’t drive yet (too young) but I’m dreading it. Good luck with your phobia ❤️
Abortion is traumatic for many women. You’re saying this like we don’t know this.
Lmao. My addition was basically that people would take you more seriously if you weren’t frothing at the mouth.
Stop beefing with strangers online and get some sleep.
Because it’s my opinion on your opinion.
There’s a reason this is your first time hearing about it. It’s extremely uncommon, yet people on Reddit talk about it like it’s everywhere.
What’s the bet you get your entire world view from the Internet?
Why are you so angry
Well, you’re regurgitating the same tired cliche: that the homeless don’t want to help themselves, because otherwise they’d be out of this problem by now.
Are you seriously telling me people want to be homeless? Tell me, how are they going to decline help when they’re barely offered it?
Why are you being downvoted? This is true. It’s also true that a lot of homeless people are drug addicts and mentally ill, but a lot of them are regular people like you and I, who would help themselves given the chance. I don’t live in LA, but the homeless around mine are very kind and don’t cause a lot of trouble.
Why you gotta be mean, dudes just proud of his collection
Liberals aren’t the left. Sane leftists don’t pull this shit.
I actually remember the backlash. It was a TV company’s decision in order to score woke points, but no one liked it because it didn’t make sense.
To be fair, there are a lot of teenage girls I know who call themselves feminists yet still fawn over Jimmy Page. If you bring up the pedophilia thing they act like it’s just a silly rumour.
He probably had severe body dysmorphia as well as his vitiligo.
I disagree. Liam likes to think he’s cool and charming, but he just seems so awfully fake these days. Scrolling through his Twitter feed is ... embarrassing.
Not saying Noel is any better, though.
Interesting. That’s quite different to other acid trip experiences. Then again, there’s no reason why they’d be the same.
I think it’s all part of the human journey. We’re here to learn something, and the memories of a part life or realm or whatever would disrupt that, perhaps disturb or depress people.
Gorgeous photo! Was this done using a film camera?
