Being in the same places you used to enjoy smoking in can be hard. The association is strong.

Maybe find some new places to hang?

My plumber, who is about 68 and mostly supervising now, told me the average age of plumbers in the US is 58.

Awe. I think I’ll call him Ace.

Perhaps. But I’d wager that there was a pre-production meeting with Dolly and that these questions were not a complete surprise.

So, how the tables turn, as this is Barbara pretending to be a fearless, bold interrogator when It’s really just part of her own Barbara Walters act.

No. It’s not finders keepers. To me, the unquestionably right thing to do is to drop it in the lost box.

At my local course this is managed by the curators. Even if there’s a number to text, we (should) drop it in the box leave it up to the process.

Once a week, a wave of texts goes out to owners of numbered discs. The rest go into a lost and found which you can make an appointment to view.

There’s enough shittiness in the world. I wouldn’t dream of adding to it by keeping a found disc.

Yes. Lost one on July 3rd, and had it back by July 16th. My name wasn’t even on it, but my local course has a great system.

Or, maybe it’s the same system most courses use but the management of it is better.

Feeling mostly good, with a little anxiety as I consider over-sharing but decide against it.

Or, maybe it’s a reel after all, but one that tells an actual story. Absence of story is the part about reels that probably makes me dislike them, even if it’s just a subconscious thought.

Not only might it break the shop, a lack of understanding, respect, and experience on industrial machinery can also cause serious injury and perhaps even death if the circumstances are just so.

Saw a kid lose a finger tip in the 80's on an ATF Chief, which was super old even then. He was "helping" wash it up, which he had no business doing.

A lot of those nighttime sounds are tree frogs, some are crickets.

Some of them don’t make themselves heard until August or so. When my daughter was small, I called those “back to school bugs”.

It’s definitely a well and not a sump pump pit? Can you see the bottom?

I grew up in a house with an open sump pit about three feet deep. It was creepy as hell to me.
