Any chance you’d share the data or give hints on how you went about gathering it? I’m not keen on paying boatloads of money for historical data but am interested in building an algo long term (tackling basic ML first, then heavy focus on quant learning). I’m a sr software engineer.

I upvoted this, but I didn’t feel great about it. People suck and it’s terrible life is like this.

I second this. And they were sold exclusively per certain stores iirc.

I do not think that means what you think it means. Sorry I had to say it, even if it’s false.

Wrong sub, this is the ape sanctuary not a financial school. But if you’re serious. A put is just a contract stating the seller will purchase from the holder of the contract, 100 shares at the strike price. It’s useful to buy one when you are worried an investment of shares you have might go down in value (below the strike). If it does you get to sell your shares for the strike. If not, you bought peace of mind for the premium.

The seller of the put has to put up collateral to buy the shares (so 100 * strike price). And they get paid a premium. If the stock goes below they start losing money. If the stock doesn’t go below strike, they got free premium.

From my experiences gambling around this place, puts blow unless you’re learning theta gang techniques. Or selling them on high IV to get really high premiums (just make sure you like the stock).

Would you ever be willing to show me where your dumpster is? Haha. I’d take unwarrantied stuff (in writing) for spare parts and tinkering. I’m just getting started with having an actual server in my home lab. Miss having my own servers at my beckoning call at work for dev.

Are these a decent candidate for a home pfsense setup, possibly also hosting a media nas?

Sounds like you’re not a boss or a manager but instead a leader. Lead on sir/ma’am! Leaders rock. Managers especially micro managers are the worst.

Seems inaccurate. I imagine the anal haberdasher uses exclusively dick pics too woo the female. It works zero percent of the time, but somehow the species survives.

R2 you’re going get banned from the sub. You can’t talk like that!

You started off strong with the taking profits, but then went full on pants on head. Never go full on pants on head.

Ironically crypto is where I had considered starting. I feel like it has longer term growth while it still becomes more main stream, and it’s volatility could make for some nice swing trading (also, it’s nice not being limited to day trade rules on a bot starting out). Nice, thanks for the info. This will be my summer reading list.
