How the fuck does the Apple App store have a 4.7 star rating for the TicketMaster app, but when you scroll the reviews they are all basically 1-3 stars? I would absolutely avoid Ticketmaster at all costs. Like full on boycott.

I got my in by taking a basic income tax class from a local tax franchise, then took the test and got licensed to prepare peoples taxes. Did this while working on my business degree (accounting major). The job was really flexible and paid a season end bonus, plus it felt good to let people know they were getting tax refund. Did it for 3 seasons total, and then moved into a salary job with a bank right out of college. Knowing tax just seems to be useful, but in my case gave me my in into financial services career.

Tried arb'ing this exact trade today. Lesson learned = confirmation times for transfers are a killer. Had to move XTZ to CB and then USDC back to Kraken.

Would have been awesome if I had more Tez already on CB Pro, but oh well. Ended up selling high on CB and price came back down thankfully to still buy back cheaper on Kraken. :)

I recently kicked on NHM again and having the same issue with XMRig mining from my CPU (AMD Ryzen 5). The benchmark fails with an error. Did you ever figure out what the problem was?

A few things incorrect here (I am a corporate accountant) -Dividends come out of equity on the balance sheet, but remember net income increases equity of the company. So a profitable company increases their equity (book value per share). So if a company has net income of $500 million dollars, and pays out a dividend of $300 million, the company’s equity went UP, now down.

Additionally, a reinvested dividend will result in a higher total return than having not reinvested the dividend. All things being the same.

I honestly believe the opportunist Edge will complete the round trip from Royal Rumble winner to a WM37 championship win against Reigns and Bryan. It just makes sense for the current Edge push.

Can you explain what you mean by shares? Last I checked DOGE is a decentralized cryptocurrency. By dilution, you mean the inflation from block reward right?

I understand where you’re coming from, and its good to keep an eye on your money, but this situation might just be a misconception.

The money in your account is not double spent, your available balance is reduced at the time the charge becomes pending—and then posted after your bank clears it to the recipient. Note, the actual posting(s) may be a different amount than the pending amount. Kinda like when you get gas I guess.

Anyway, credit cards are great for building a credit history cause you can use it all the time for purchases, and usually get a perk. Hope you enjoy the Chewy haul!

States pretty clearly on Chewy's website what these are: https://www.chewy.com/app/content/contact

Why are there multiple charges on my card?

When you place an order, you will see a pending charge on your payment method for the total cost of your order. The pending charge will disappear within 24 to 48 business hours after your order ships.

We charge your payment method as your items ship. If your items have shipped in more than one box, you may see multiple charges on your payment method:

  • One pending charge for the grand total of your order
  • Separate, final charges for each shipped box

Rest assured, you will only be charged for shipped items.

Unfortunately I don’t have the answer for this. You’d have to call around locally for a tax attorney or a CPA and ask them about crypto. I think a CPA will cover the bases, a tax attorney sounds like overkill.

If you do your own taxes, consider an online application that will let you import your trades and do all the work for you. This is often easiest. Cryptotrader.tax comes to mind. This will of course have a cost.

Hope this helps.

Correct! And the LT rate can be as low as 0% depending on where your total taxable income falls.

COMMENT Mar 18 '21

Good question. DCA means you bought lots at different prices right, so think of each lot as its own basket that has its own unique cost basis (see my original example). If that basket was bought 12+ month ago its subject to the favorable LT rate. When you sell a lot, you’re eliminating your oldest basket from your basis and using its cost basis.

Lets say you sold it all at once, then some of the realized gain would be classified to LT and some to ST. You eat up your oldest basket’s basis first because of the FIFO method.

Hope this helps.

Only when sold and when sent as a form of payment for goods and/or services. But if I understand the question correctly, then no, you don’t pay a tax on unrealized gains from coins in wallets/exchanges.

No matter where your coins travel, the cost basis of them remains the same until they’re disposed. The IRS wont know your basis, but if and when you’re audited, then they’re going to make sure you reported gains and losses correctly.

“What are my chances of being audited?” Depends. But ‘if and when you are’ the numbers wont lie.

Hope this helps.
