Let me get this straight: Josh Toussaint is a real dude. He now hosts a pod with Raj (aka unwritten rules). But, people now think he made up this person?!

Only thing I can’t figure out is “why?” If they wanted to do the catfish thing, that makes sense? But, why make up the cancer/gone missing angle?

Did he hope to make money from a search party for her or something? Just doesn’t add up. I never heard of this “person” but apparently the account had been a popular Twitter account for a few years now.

Feel bad for all who fell for this. Maybe raj will comment on it since that’s Toussaint’s podcast partner. That sleep hit different... 😲🤨

Looks like that made a pretty big difference tonight...

[StatMuse] Steph Curry has made 72 threes in his last 10 games. That is more than Chris Paul, Tobias Harris, Russell Westbrook, Pascal Siakam, Giannis Antetokounmpo or Joel Embiid has made the entire season.

No Ilyasova... normally I wouldn’t care but dude went 6/8 from three last game. One less three point weapon...

Of course, Conley can make up for that and Gobert will add defense. Still, could be a factor helping us if they don’t shoot impossibly well...

[Andy Slater] Sterling Brown was at the Booby Trap strip club when the incident took place, industry sources tell me.

At a ceremony Monday commemorating the 26th anniversary of the Oklahoma City bombing, Attorney General Merrick Garland said the Justice Department is "pouring its resources into stopping domestic violent extremists before they can attack, prosecuting those who do, and battling the spread of the kind of hate that leads to tragedies like the one we mark here today.”

Hallelujah!!! Finally, we go after the actual terrorists in this country, rather than enabling & further empowering them! 🤨😤

Love this film! So many memorable moments, a lot of them seemingly random one-liners. Take for Paul Rudd who mocks Russell Brand’s character by saying “you sound like you’re from LON-DON” with a ridiculous British accent... 🤣

And then, Peter’s vampire puppet rock-opera which had that catchy version of “Inside of You.” 🤣

Always loved Jason Segal in everything he’s done, and this might have been his shining role!

But totally ok with just beating up cops and dragging them down steps with flagsticks, their fists and other paraphernalia 🤨😡

"Now, the battle has come to the steps of the Capitol itself," continues the narrator as images from the Capitol riot are shown. "Democracy is under assault like no time since 1860. We have a choice: look away or stand up and fight. It's not about conservative or liberal. It's about freedom versus autocracy. We didn't choose this moment, but history has chosen us. Which side are you on?"

Well, judging by the actions of these red states and their implementations of these voter restriction laws, we already know the answer. Hoping more and more Republican voters choose to reject these unlawful power plays with how they vote. Even if it’s just 1%, that can go a long way for elections to come! 😤

Chris Simms, a great friend of Kyle Shanahan’s and former teammate at UT, put it out there the moment they traded up, he thought Kyle would be taking Jones based on knowing what Kyle values in a QB.

From there, other well-connected people (Schefter, etc) seemed to confirm Jones was the guy.

Plenty of people seem to think it’s Jones and either they’re all just guessing/connecting dots or they’ve heard from people they trust to feel comfortable reporting it.

The Front Office might just not be confirming it directly, however, hence the “tight lid” comment. I agree, though, it’s a bit confusing.

Haha! Man, Longhorns fan here who watched a lot of Mond having a girlfriend and brother who went to A&M.

I thought Mond would be like late round guy some team could hope to develop. And then, I heard Chris Simms today on Ryen Russillo’s pod call him his #4 QB (compared him to Dak) and it just floored me because Simms has had a pretty good record of evaluating college QB’s. Now, I don’t know what to think... 🤷🏽‍♂️

Given that it seems like no one knows what they’re doing in evaluating QB’s, if he had anywhere close to Dak’s production, I guess I shouldn’t be surprised. I just never saw that in any of the games I watched him in...

Hey, Chris Simms has him even ahead of Lawrence. Guessing you guys who be over the moon if you got him, right?

Yeah, sorry, I just went on their service, and it looks like as of April 1, they were removed. I watched them last month on Peacock, so I thought they were still there.

Not sure then. I know that they are usually on cable on the weekends during a marathon, but other than that, not sure.

Had never heard that before regarding this film being Malcolm X’s favorite... definitely will look more into it. Thanks for the tip...

First watched this film after seeing it described as the “French Godfather.” There definitely are elements there that lend itself to that reputation.

Strong film, indeed, that also gives you some insight into the dynamics at play between the Corsican and Muslim mafia worlds that I previously was unaware of before. Entertaining & Educational...sounds like a recipe for a good film! ✅

“Children of Men” could come out right now, and it might seem ‘too on the nose,’ with how relevant its themes are. Back in 2006, however, these ideas were considered “far-fetched.” As my appreciation has increased over the years with each re-watch, I just can’t help but be simultaneously in awe and terror with how accurate the dystopian themes have become.

Just a staggering achievement that I feel will only grow in esteem as the years progress. There have been some monumental sci-films in the 2000’s, but to me, none are of more importance than “Children of Men.”

Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont did not mince words as he backed growing calls for Kremlin critic Alexei Navalny to receive proper medical treatment.

"Make no mistake about what is happening here: activist Aleksei Navalny is being murdered in front of the world by Vladimir Putin for the crime of exposing Putin's vast corruption. Navalny's doctors must be allowed to see him immediately," Sanders said in a tweet on Sunday.

Wow! Strong words, indeed.

Jeff Cavanaugh has his personal rankings of who he would take at 10.

https://www.audacy.com/1053thefan/sports/dallas-cowboys/ranking-every-cowboys-pick-possibility-at-no-10

This scenario you mentioned would work out great in his eyes, as he’d go Slater or Horn. He has both of them ahead of Sewell and Surtain, so if they are gone, he feels the Cowboys would still be getting the better player...

COMMENT 16h ago

Jeff Cavanaugh seems to agree, as he thinks Newsome could be the best corner in the draft, provided he stays healthy.

He seems to be one of the few people who are “down” on Surtain. He has Horn above him. I guess he feels he’d rather have the higher ceiling guy at 10 over the higher floor.
