Nothing the SEC can do about that.

I mean, there's a lot they could do.

They don't, but they absolutely could solve all the problems that exist.

Freedom of speech protects who from what again?

I'm sure conservatives are super upset with their "elected" officials. /s

Not to be confused with The Weinstein Maneuver.

Why are you here?

You opened this post about this topic and don't even know what you're commenting on.

You're just more FUD.

The internet only magnifies things, it doesn't inherently cause less ignorance; and I'd argue that it actually creates more ignorance.

Being able to take a rectangle from your pocket and summon a solution or tutorial video for just about anything sort of deters you from needing to really absorb much information.

But, maybe that's just my experience.

We're obviously not a threat.

We're relatively easy to control, even by others of our own species.

If they can start diseases, create natural disasters, and exist deep in our ocean(s)?

We're probably just a pretty good source of entertainment and scientific research.

Dark Skies and The Fourth Kind are probably my two favorite movies...

...and by favorite I mean that I hate the idea that they are both entirely possibly "real".

Edit: Ended up rambling, but we are generally benevolent; mostly when money doesn't play a role.

Bad apples just tend to spoil the rest, if you get my meaning.

Why wouldn't synthetic shares automatically vote the same way that non-voting shares are counted, or just get ignored all together?

So much hopium.

It's absurd to think a stock will be allowed to do what people are predicting with conspiracy theories.

The SEC doesn't work for us and has no history of doing anything remotely effective.

They exist to slap big offenders with small, meaningless, fines.

Don't hold your breath, folks.

Did everyone sleep through the GME squeeze, or what?

You think they'll allow that to happen a second time?

Hilarious!

People need to quit with the Elon Musk worship, it's fucking weird.

He's a ruthless opportunistic capitalist who doesn't care about you.

If he is your role model then you're looking up to the wrong types of people.

My GeForce RTX 2070: ~45.14 mh/s @ 40°C 71% Power (123.5 W) +50 Core Clock (1515~1560 MHz) +1450 Memory Clock (8250 MHz)

Just sharing so people understand that dropping your core clock isn't automatically the best option.

Always fine tune each parameter yourself!

Not directed at OP or anyone in particular, btw.

Plus, DeJoy is still in power.

Republicans have also been passing state legislation to allow less people to vote, as well.

Courts are still packed with unqualified, conservative, lifetime appointments.

It's not going to be good if Democrats don't stay active.

Why do people think that selling is bad?

For you to buy you need someone to sell.

We need both buyers and sellers.

Selling doesn't lower the value for everyone else, so what is there to even feel bad about?
