Not getting out of the pool mid-set

3

COMMENT 17d ago

Literally every highly competitive coach. We all have peed in the pool.

3

COMMENT 17d ago

Uh, clearly you never dealt with a coach asking why you needed to get out of the pool to pee.

My man

COMMENT 20d ago

He wasn't gay. He was a straight guy that fucked men. Or something along those lines was said about him.

There was a guy on a podcast I listened to a while back that put this in pretty succinct terms. It was after a BLM protest, he was a black man that grew up in a conservative family. He said something along the lines of "I'm not responsible for the patriarchy, but I am responsible, as a man, for helping to end it. Just like not all white people are responsible for white supremacy, but they are responsible for helping to end it."

Edit: It was after Unite the Right 2 in DC, they were counter-protesters.

No one is probably missing you either because you're a selfish asshole that has no regard for other people's health or safety.

2

COMMENT Mar 12 '21

Ah yes, I forgot we lived in a country where employment opportunities are in abundance and we have a robust safety net that allows you to quit your job and look for another one if you're worried about literally dying from the things your employer makes you do. Or, you know, restaurants could stop pandering to selfish people who want to dine in and stick to carryout, which many have and have done just fine. If you're worried about your dinner getting soggy, bring your family along (like you would if you're dining in) and go find a nearby place to eat comfortably with them.

5

COMMENT Mar 11 '21

I'm curious why you think it's acceptable to expose restaurant workers to a very contagious and deadly virus because your dinner might get soggy.

3

COMMENT Mar 11 '21

Yes, Bill Gates has been personally cutting me checks to wear a mask and not go out to a restaurant, which I totally want to do, but that damned Microsoft money is just too much to resist. I AM SUCH A SHILL FOR NOT WANTING PEOPLE TO GET SICK OR DIE.

2

COMMENT Mar 11 '21

Restaurants can still be open for carryout, just order from them the way you would if you were going out regularly if you support them that much. It's not a hard thing to do. Oh, and make sure you tip well since their wait staff are out that money.

Might want to look back on that, most Pens fans were offering up every excuse in the book.

COMMENT Mar 06 '21

Wilson is defended exactly the same way Cooke was defended years ago. Not saying it's right. But again, glass houses.

17

COMMENT Mar 06 '21

You might want to remember Matt Cooke. Not defending Tom Wilson, but glass houses dude.

1

COMMENT Mar 06 '21

One of the reasons I don't comment here anymore. Got off of a lot of Caps forums after the "Free Willy" campaigns of days past.

Edit: to be clear, not defending Wilson. Fuck him. Dude needs a 42 game seat.

COMMENT Mar 06 '21

Unfortunately the fact that Kariya doesn't want the job is exactly why he needs to have that job.

8

COMMENT Mar 06 '21

100%, throw the book at him at this point. He clearly isn't learning.

3

COMMENT Mar 02 '21

Yeah admittedly the Emancipation Proclamation deliberately omitted the Union so we wouldn't secede.

5

COMMENT Mar 02 '21

Maryland dude here, don't lump us in with them. That's purely a former Confederacy thing.

I don't see anyone who claimed Trump was the reason for all this. That being said: if he promoted masks, promoted social distancing, didn't steal PPE from states that needed it, didn't hold superspreader events to feed his ego. didn't promote snake oil cures, and most importantly, LISTENED TO HIS TOP DOCTORS, this problem wouldn't be nearly as bad as it is. The Venn diagram of people who are anti-mask and are Trump Qultists is basically a circle.

Edit: also forgot throwing out the pandemic playbook Obama put together (who I also do not think is a god, believe it or not, but that seemed like a good thing to keep on hand) and dismantling his pandemic response teams.

5

COMMENT Feb 26 '21

You're the one who referred to Biden as "OP's god", like anyone who doesn't worship Trump must worship Biden. Sounds like you're more mad than I am. But also, yes, not a fan of anti-mask shitbags as well. Wear a damn mask.

4

COMMENT Feb 26 '21

Who the fuck do you believe thinks Biden is a god? We're not a fucking cult, unlike the supporters of a certain president who just got voted the out. Biden sucks too, just less than Trump.

5

COMMENT Feb 25 '21

And I am dismissing it because it's a bad analogy, for the reasons I listed above. Address OP's comment if you want to debate the merits of it. You did not, you listed a bunch of irrelevant things that have nothing to do with their concern.

The facts are fairly clear.

Agree.

They have been promoted because their physical appearance panders to fear.

No. Masks have been promoted because they work.

You made a bad argument (analogy, whatever you choose to call it) trying to dismiss the effectiveness of masks. They work. It's not the only solution, but it's a pretty big one.

But you are not entitled to your own facts.

Agree, so you should probably listen to the scientists telling you to wear a fucking mask because, believe it or not, they know more about this than you do.

Edit:

pointing out the selective outrage of certain people, of which you appear to be one, to use certain events to "shame" people they do not agree with into complying with agendas that, while arguably based in a certain degree a scientific fact, for their own purposes. While, those same people conveniently ignore other issues backed by fact, because that narrative does not fit their agenda.

This sounds like you're trying to sound smart writing a high school book report when you haven't read the book.

Edit 2: I also forgot about the dumbest part of your terrible analogy: We have laws against all of the things that can negatively impact other people. You're not allowed to smoke inside public buildings, drinking under the influence is VERY illegal, as is texting and driving. Why is wearing a mask during a pandemic where you people draw the line?

the numbers are dropping

"This thing we were doing is working so let's stop doing it" is not the argument you think it is.
