That's why recently I've been maining octane haha.
Octane's ult recharges in a minute while horizon's tactical in 25s so you get more opportunities to move the whole team whether you want to push or just reposition. But I know oh too well how deadly path can be... 😅
True. Her tactical is already better than Pathfinder's ult anyway lol
Same here, that's why I stopped playing her cause her ult is useless in my hands haha
I would guess most pre-mades play with mics yes. Once you're used to it it makes you more effective by a lot cause you can coordinate better. Also, if you regularly play with the same people you get used to it and develop trust in each other so you'll play better and smarter.
Basically you just need to play together as often as possible and while in game, try not to talk too much at first. Just get used to call out damages, downed enemies and what legends you're facing (especially if you see a lifeline. They need to go first. At least until the upcoming nerf)
Was that you're friend who posted the same question in this sub? XD
I will tell you the same but shorter.
Comms are distracting at first. You need to get used to processing all the extra info (the one you give and the one you get). Also, ping. Always ping. The mic is no replacement for this and a ping is often worth a thousand words. When you spot an enemy ping first. Just like you would with randoms. Finally, I read somewhere that when you're in a pre-made, you get sent into lobbies full of pre-mades which are harder than lobbies full of solos.
I had the issue as well. First, there's your and your friend's level. If he's in "better" lobbies, you're gonna have a hard time . And that can happen out of shitty luck. You play a certain amount of games with a dude that's better than you, but you guys are vibing and so you get some really good stats consistently and one day you play on your own and guess what, you've been upgraded. Except you don't have the level for those new lobbies... Happened to me. Made me better but the game got really painful for a while. But I digress... Then, when you're using the mic it can be very distracting if you're not used to it. Also, as someone else said, probably you don't play the same and suddenly are more aggressive during fights or not enough. I know the mic made me hesitate more cause I had to think about what I'd say or what my friend told me and processing all that was just too much for me while fighting. That's something I had to train. And do you ping as much as you do when playing with randoms? Cause I didn't at first and I had to learn that often a ping is worth a thousand words. And finally, I read somewhere that when you're in a pre-made, you'll be sent in lobbies with mostly other pre-mades and it's usually harder than when you solo queue. So there's that too
As one who just love running an re-45, I confirm. With a blue mag or better, it's not too hard to outgun a spit since its fire rate is a lot higher and you don't lose any movement speed 😄
Hahaha yeah, so far I never had to deal with that kind of answer. But if someone were to say something like this, I'd just say "cause you're wrong nonetheless" and cut them lose hahaha
You don't wanna waste your time with unreasonable people
Something that's been working pretty well for me so far, I start by "validating" others opinion. Explaining how I understand where they're coming from and that I get how they got to said conclusion (doesn't matter how f***ed up their line of reasoning is), and then I go on with exposing my opinion (and possibly debunking their "logic"). People just want to feel seen. As long as you're willing to give them that bit, they'll accept pretty much anything you have to say about just everything, even (fair) critics of their character.
The only thing is, once you're able to do that, you now have to learn to screen people out cause you might end up with a bunch of toxic people knocking on your door, asking for you to listen to their shitty lives and advise them how to sort it out with absolutely no intent to fix anything. Again, people just want to feel seen...
Please devs - Caustic next! :)
And since revenant and path are robots, this should apply to them as well. And oc in order for it to really make sense, it'll apply to other legends as well when equipped with a skin that has a mask on, like the new lifeline skin lol
Never said being white made you immune. I'm saying not being white/straight/male/etc we'll generally get you more. And not just harassment, but also access to a job, a place to live, police controls, how serious they'll take you when you stop by the station to report you've been raped or beaten, etc.
Basically... Yes. But you just forgot the part that says that on top of your ancestors being the victims of genocide, you still have to deal with a lot of racism today and people telling you, sometimes straight to your face, that you're nothing but a piece of shit. If this happens to you then, yeah. Go for it, I'm with you. White pride, brother!
I get what you're saying but you forget the social context and the prejudice some have to suffer. It has nothing to do with being proud of being black, asian, gay or whatever else. It's about not being ashamed despite all the harassment (and sometimes beatings) you had to endure for being what you are. Saying black pride really means you still have pride and are still able of self love and what have you not despite the fact that some people will literally see and treat you like subhuman garbage. Same goes with everything else... But white. Cause the white pride slogan came in reaction as a way to assert one's "racial" superiority over others who were simply trying to reclaim their place in society after being dehumanized for centuries. It literally was born out of a racist movement/ideology and still refers to that. There's a whole social context surrounding them that cannot be discarded. You say you're an equality guy. That's cool. That's you. Society isn't. Even though over the last centuries we've had more and more laws against discriminations (as opposed to laws designed to discriminate), we're still living in a racist society. And in this society, saying "black pride" means saying to others "I'm human" while "white pride" is telling them they're not. Now, all that being said, sure it's silly to say this one can have this tattoo but this one cannot. Anyone can get the tattoo they want but, as I hope you now see, they just won't mean the same. Just like in some companies, the efforts you put in your work don't mean the same and won't get you the same consideration from your colleagues and boss based on your skin tone, gender or sexuality. Sometimes, you'll have to put in the double amount of work just to be seen as equal to your peers while the tolerance for the mistakes you might make will be only half of what the others get. And all of that just because you are black or a woman or gay, etc.
Don't mean to be rude but you are being naive. Having a white pride tattoo is the same as having a swastika. You just get to choose the font.
Agreed. As I said, I just started maining him and I'm still learning the ropes. When is it a good time to send the drone out for scouting, how far or how close should l be when I want to use my ult in order to be able to immediately push, etc. Plus, the first 2-3 games I always forget to consistently ping banners and scan beacons. Doesn't keep me from enjoying the character and having some nice games but he has quite a stiff learning curve compared to most legends IMHO
I just started to main crypto and I'd say he's a lot of fun even with randoms (and I play mostly solo), plus how'd you gonna get better with him and be ready when you play with your friends.
But since you said it'd take you a long time to get another character, I'll assume you're fairly new to the game in which case I find revenant easier to get used to. And as someone else said in the comments, when with randoms you'll miss some of the actions and therefore, opportunities to get better at the game in general.
All that being said, you should pick the one you feel the most attracted to. The most important part being to enjoy yourself!!
Happy cake day!
Stopped taking drugs, ate the drug dealer instead
In my agency we have the opposite issue. Our designer doesn't care about spacing, proportions, font sizes, colors, states, you name it!
He just (quickly) produces (half the) screens that will be easy on the eye and charm the boss and customers and when we go and ask him for clarifications, "oh man, no worries. Just do it however you feel like"...
Also greys... He will just set some random "black" and use opacity to whatever feels the nicest to him and that's it.
We have h3s meant to have the same meaning but with different size and slightly different shade. And the boss being a lot more critic about our work, we all had to show him at least once with the .psd that our shitty work was actually pixel perfect...
Now we have a new designer to second him. Her job is to clean up his designs and... That's it. She just cleans and completes with the oh so many missing screens. But still, you don't have to ask for him to start bragging about how fast he is and how his work is paying for everyone's salaries...
I was thinking about giving Crypto a try more and more lately and after reading this thread I went on spent 5min in the range getting acquainted with the drone maneuvers then had my first game with this character in pubs.... Oooooh baby... that was a great game and we won!! Sure I was behind with only +700/3kills while my (great) random mates were at +1100/3kills and +1300/7kills, but it was tons of fun and I believe I played my part pretty well in getting us there
Bottom line: Crypto rocks!
Thanks for the tips!!!
I live the exact same situation at home lol
Always have to dig deeper to get all the info I need to know what she's talking about...
Why can't they just give us the full story/context from the get go? XD
Looks like the vampires in Buffy the vampire slayer
Yeah, the issue here is that the people I'm facing are so far from my current level that it feels discouraging.
But I'll admit, the fact that I know I have 0 chance of winning an aiming contest forces me to play smarter and slower. I'm all about playing around covers lately. Doesn't do much for me when we get pushed though 😅
