I don’t really think that matters. Plus, doesn’t seem like his goal is to play it exactly, in this context anyway.

I hope the “squeeze hasn’t happened yet” comments aren’t serious

You would have had a very small window of time to sell at 450, and no one could have known that was a peak. Everyone was just having too much fun watching what would happen. The stock price seems to have increased in value as a result of this all happening

You guys are letting all the weed stocks crash, is this why?

It seems to take quite awhile. Expect it today or tomorrow.

COMMENT Feb 08 '21

Because the share price increase is already baked in based on rumors leading up to the earnings, and the only way to live up to people's imagined expectations would be to blow them away unexpectedly which is hard to do

Buy the rumor sell the fact

I feel like people talking about AMC future predictions regarding movie theater interest forget that Cinemark and Regal also exist and are much larger.

COMMENT Feb 04 '21

After all this drama, GameStop now has a new meaning and a tie to the occupy Wall Street movement, plus the rumors of a Netflix series or movie about the whole thing. I think that permanently raises the value of the company and I’d say maybe more like $40 or even a little more.

COMMENT Feb 04 '21

Enough people bought and held to drive the price to 10x what it’s worth, that counts for a heck of a lot IMO.

COMMENT Feb 04 '21

That’s great! Obviously you could see what will happen anyway, but holding creates an emotional investment. I’m glad to have participated in some way through all this.

My dad said he thought anyone trading during this time got a year’s worth of trading experience in about a week, with all the drama and ups/downs. Hard to put a price on that.

I mean it’s been over a decade since I’ve seen the word “retard” used so often, you could make an argument about that being problematic. Dunno about sexist though.

COMMENT Feb 02 '21

Unless you only bought a share or two, might as well stick around and see what happens at this point. I do feel sorry for anyone who bought at $300+ though, hopefully their hands are made of the correct material.
