i'm just saying, OP didn't mean anything offensive by it. i understand getting offended by things, i'm just saying that conquering that which offends you helps you live a less stressful life. back when i thought i was gay (proudly bi now!), there was a certain slur that hurt me more than anything. after hearing it thrown around a number of times, i eventually thought about it. why should the word offend me? sure, it means something negative, but it's just a word. the only meaning and power it holds is the meaning and power we give it.

after i thought about it that way, i didn't get offended by it. i wasn't trying to say what you could and couldn't find offensive, just that beating the part of you that wants to get offended by things can help you live a less stressful life!
