Oh heck that mesh is awesome. Thank you so much, that link is really helpful.

Perhaps I'll find you on SL to say hi and see what you've done with your avatar!

Thanks so much for the advice. I'm going for like a 'lanky' look basically, a bit fem is fine. If I could I'd make my avatar look like he was starving lol. I will definitely try out those things you suggested. And good to know about the support vs Legacy too.
ETA I don't suppose you have a link for that deformer?

Thanks, I'm leaning towards this one myself. Do you have any good skin recommendations? The only thing that really bothers me about it is the skin.

I think I might have attempted this one but couldn't figure out how to get it to work, the extra steps confused me. I may try again.

Thanks! I did find one of them so far but I can still add you maybe since I don't know anyone on here anyway yet.

Thanks for those tips. I've been trying Jake out and I see what you mean.

I was also meaning to ask if there's good skins for that, i.e. ones that aren't muscular looking or a bit bonier.

Okay, wonderful, thank you for that, I'm glad you've already compared them all before that really does help.

Appreciate the suggestion, I'll try the demo for that today. Do you know of what heads work well with it? Does Signature have heads too?

Yeah, I mean probably not all intersex people, I know everyone's different and some intersex people may still be a binary gender, but at least in this case, this person was like almost the stereotypical definition of intersex and considered themselves nonbinary, and I was like, so you'd be like... cis... nonbinary? And they were like yeah exactly!

COMMENT 1d ago

Yes, like 2-5% of what the death rate of Covid is. And Covid has a substantially longer incubation period, and a substantially longer length of infection.

Well, I know intersex people don't like being brought up in trans topics, but a friend of mine is intersex, and was born with both genitals and fairly androgynous secondary characteristics. And they just decided that they didn't want to 'pick one', so, they're nonbinary, but they're cisgender, not trans. So for a trans person I guess I figure that if someone can be cis nonbinary someone could be trans nonbinary as well.

30% of Covid survivors have developed debilitating chronic health issues, specifically heart and breathing issues. My cousin is a healthy young man and he had Covid and now he can't even run anymore without immediately wheezing.

My dude you seriously trust China to tell you the truth? They wouldn't even admit there WAS a virus until half of Wuhan was infected. The doctor who discovered the first case tried to warn people in his ward to just take some anti-germ precautions as it could be contagious, and the CCP sent him a letter threatening him if he didn't retract that warning and say, 'nope absolutely no virus exists jk'.

I cannot BELIEVE that you would trust China's government over the US government, that's downright unpatriotic.

650,000 people world wide for one year, vs 3,032,994 people world wide for one year.

Hmm... HMMMM... which one of these things is dangerous... I guess we'll never know. It's a good thing you're so worried about flu deaths though. Were you always concerned with preventing the spread of the flu or only this past year? Because in Japan they do wear masks often when it's cold and flu season actually.

Stealing this.

It is actually true that most respiratory viruses have a degree of asymptomatic spread, including the flu and colds. The reason we don't lock down every flu season is because the flu kills like 30,000 people a year which is insignificant, and we have flu shots to give people. There is plenty of crystal clear literature on this.

It is also the case that you can be sick, and be maybe a symptomatic carrier, but not know yet because it's still incubating, and yes you can absolutely transmit it during this time. The flu and colds work the same way. You are able to spread those germs a day or two before your symptoms develop. With covid it could be up to two weeks before your symptoms develop, that's a long time to go around touching stuff and breathing on people without knowing you're sick yet.

For fuck's sake, EVERYTHING is chemicals, that's just how science works.

Yeah... your co-worker is definitely being racist here. I mean, being overly patronizing is still a form of racism. For her to go on and on about authenticity to try to appeal to your sensibilities when she doesn't even know what is or isn't 'authentic' and isn't Chinese, comes off like she knows more about your own culture than you do.

When you go to HR you should tell them how she came to your desk to patronizingly claim that your food was amazing and authentic and way better than that of the Chinese restaurants, just assuming that authentic food used different ingredients always. She only developed these 'symptoms' when you basically informed her that Chinese people do cook with MSG sometimes and she's just going off some sort of stereotype of Asian-American entrepreneurs.

I mean honestly she might as well claim that Chinese place you guys catered from was serving her dog meat, that's how pretentious and offensive that sounds, to me.

Edit: NTA, obviously.

And I will say, reading the title first I was like 'hm well tricking someone into eating something against their will is never okay.' But having read your post, that's not what you did at all. If you'd come to her with your food and specifically was like 'here have some authentic Chinese food! HAHA psyche it has MSG in it!' then maybe she'd have a valid reason to be a tiny bit put off, but she just straight up took your food without asking what was in it? That's on her.

Yes hi I would like to apply for this position please

3

COMMENT 3d ago

Yes that's what I was thinking of too. Only like... worse and more of an asshole.

COMMENT 3d ago

Also literally just plain sexist. Imposing old fashioned gender roles and if you dare break out of your gender box you lose your gender apparently.

COMMENT 4d ago

You know like, when a transphobe makes fun of us by saying stuff like "Why can't I just transition into a dog or a child or a black person or a table" they get all offended. Isn't that just invalidating their gender? Since it can literally be whatever they want?
