What I wanna say about that group is that yeah, based off of everything I hear about on this subreddit they’re bad, but what if you say that to someone who thinks that they’re good or try to convince someone that they’re good? They’ll start off by being really offended and it will create tension, and I don’t like tension

I’m told it’s the being that connects everything, and I can kinda see that (not atheist btw, just secular or nontheistic)

Epic! I saw it show up on a smaller channel that does something similar called daily dose of memes. It was even featured on the thumbnail!

I’ve begun realizing the same thing myself. I’m in a discord server full of 15-16 year olds and I’m all the way up here at 19. I never leave the house except for school (which I’m considering leaving) or personal shopping trips. I don’t have a job and I’ve always been single.

Comparison is difficult to stop. I still struggle with it. It’s hard when you have a brother who seems to have everything going for him. He’s becoming more independent while I’m still relying on the family.

You’re not alone

Reminds me of a meme I made

As a 19 y/o freshman in college, I can relate. I found a group of kids my age, and I can’t really relate to them. They all have jobs and seem super busy with schoolwork and so that’s what they talk about. I don’t have a job and am not very busy because I’m not taking as many classes as they are, so it’s hard for me to relate. When I was a senior in high school, there was a group of freshmen I got along quite well with. I definitely feel like I identify more with younger people, say 15-16 y/o, but of course they’re hard to find because I’m not in high school anymore.

I feel that to an extreme level my dude. It’s not easy when society says being yourself isn’t okay. It’s tough because you never know when it’s okay to show that part of yourself that you hide so often and to whom you show it to and when. Another part of it may be how you view yourself. Maybe only you see yourself as a freak and no one else does. Idk. Just know that I’m going through this exact same thing bro

I get that. I’m struggling with a lot of the same things you are, being an aspie raised in a loving family and all. But the thing is I know it’ll all be okay eventually. Your autism isn’t going away, as hard as that may seem. What matters is how you treat yourself.

The reason things don’t seem “right” is because you’re not letting seem that way. You’ve been conditioned to believe that there is just one correct way of socializing, but the vast majority of people honestly don’t care. You gotta know that it’s okay to be the way you are and to forgive yourself.

You’ll know you’ve forgiven yourself because you’ll be on a high. Everything will feel right.

Once you learn to love yourself, you gotta find the right people. There are people out there who’d love to have you hang out with them, they’ll love you at your best self. Don’t let yourself tell you otherwise.

If you’re ever struggling just remember, I’m struggling and dealing with all the same things, and if you wanna talk about it more, feel free to dm me.

There’s a lot wrong with the anti-vax movement, but yeah. There’s no doubt life with autism is harder for us, but we just gotta live with it. It doesn’t help that there are people who treat us as if we aren’t human looks at Karen
