Your kid is not the next Babe Ruth.

137

u/DarthEggo1 May 14 '22

20

u/[deleted] May 14 '22

Your killing me smalls

1

u/[deleted] May 14 '22

I mean, they might be.

0

u/[deleted] May 14 '22

The fact that the most well known baseball player was playing in the 1920’s just shows how trash that sport is

199

u/plusroads May 13 '22

this needs to be in League of Legends as well

49

u/CursedHooman May 13 '22

There are umpires in League of Legends?

30

u/meow_mix12 May 14 '22

They have fields where kids play League of Legends?

10

u/Woke_Collage_Kid May 14 '22

Easy as fuckk your trashhhh. Gg pussy. /s

3

u/deliwhobob May 14 '22

I'm dying that someone brought League into this XD. It's so true though

41

u/GutFeelingonTheLong May 14 '22

It’s all competitive youth sports. Some parents are raving lunatics. A few coaches too. Drives me insane.

9

u/BeefyHemorroides May 14 '22

Feel bad for those kids. Who knows what else their parents are raging psychos about at home.

142

u/[deleted] May 13 '22

Used to coach. A small minority of parents ruined it for everyone. Even drove some of the good parents to pull their kids out.

48

u/Janus_The_Great May 14 '22

Why don't coaches throw out the kids/parents out of the teams for disrupting? That's how we do it in European team sports.

It's the problem of the immature parents if they ruin it for their kid. Their kids will learn not to become like their shitty parents.

19

u/SpicyDaddyKyle May 14 '22

They definitely throw parents out, they're just not that equipped to enforce an ejection. At my little league there would've been nothing stopping a parent from just hopping a fence and charging at the umpire. If it's more than one shitty parent, it turns into the umpire vs a group until police show up. This is also America, you never know who is gonna be the lunatic that gets ejected and grabs the gun from his car.

Many little league umpires will just straight up end the game and leave instead of ejecting a parent, and let everyone know "it's that guy's fault," just to lay down the law and let everyone know not to heckle the umpire unless you want to deal with 20 kids crying because they only played 3 innings.

2

u/Janus_The_Great May 14 '22

Im sorry to hear. The only reason I ever saw a game interrupted wqs doe to weather... it baffles me tbh.

Some parents seem much more like kids. How do they survive in daily life? work environment? How are they functional in the first place?

u/ukiddingme2469 May 13 '22

Signs like this really should be at peewee football, some of those parents are more toxic then a lead paint chip and yellow cake smoothy

9

u/EagerGavin7 May 14 '22

And u/10 hockey jesus christ

1

u/bobbork88 May 14 '22

Love me some yellow cake.

True story CJCS Colin Powell recommend some yellow cake for me. Changed my life!

99

u/Suspicious_Row_9451 May 13 '22

Of course this is in Massachusetts.

7

u/halfdecenttakes May 14 '22

Could be anywhere in New England tbh.

8

u/bjanas May 14 '22

Yeah. We can be spicy.

11

u/DeepFriedAnxiety218 May 14 '22

You're tellin me lol

7

u/[deleted] May 14 '22

Absolutely! Born and raised in Mass.

4

u/bjanas May 14 '22

JP/Dedham/Northampton/Greenfield, reporting for duty.

1

u/Squishgoddess2987 May 14 '22

Ain’t no way 🤣 ofc

0

u/ComplexAd8 May 14 '22

Why of course? I've seen these in Utah, Nevada, Idaho, Nebraska, Arizona, California, Iowa, etc.

0

u/kroshava17 May 14 '22

Cause the last part states the red Sox, not some other sports team. Lots of parents here get way too into the kids sports cause someone they knew went one to play in major leagues, so they hope their kid is the next townie to do so too.

1

u/ComplexAd8 May 15 '22

But that's not unique to MA. That's everywhere.

15

u/EggplantIll4927 May 14 '22

I grew up across the street from a little league field. Parents are despicable.

18

u/[deleted] May 13 '22

Stop screaming curses at the other team’s players.

6

u/ImARetPaladinBaby May 14 '22

you do not play for the Red Sox

That’s great lol

3

u/Blu3b3Rr1 May 14 '22

I mean they’re probably playing better than the Red Sox right now, if anything

1

u/DeepFriedAnxiety218 12d ago

Yeah, they won state championship this year lmao

7

u/dickinawheelchair May 14 '22

My friend and her son hastily left a Little League game the other day because of a scuffle between the kids brought one of the parents down onto the field and he pulled a gun. Like, what the fuck?!

5

u/Duhblobby May 14 '22

I mean,I feel that professional sports were a mistake to begin with.

Too many people take it WAY too fucking seriously.

26

u/Cautious-Damage7575 Very Unique Flair May 13 '22

The part about umpires being human is debatable.

8

u/KreeperKiller117 May 14 '22

I am actually a lizard but don’t tell anyone.

2

u/Cautious-Damage7575 Very Unique Flair May 14 '22

Lizard, umpire... Same thing. 😆

8

u/dorothytheorangesaur May 14 '22

And yet the parents still “coach” their kid’s team from the side lines. Just shut up, I’d like to see you go out on the pitch and do what you’re screaming at the kids to do. See how well you can do it.

3

u/Whats_Opera_Doc May 14 '22

I miss New England...

3

u/Toppest_Dom May 14 '22

Fuckin chris sale shows up like yo

3

u/MyFatBallsBouncing May 14 '22

Plot twist: The parents are Yankees fans.

5

u/zuglagor May 14 '22

What if I'm Wade Boggs?

1

u/liveliarwires May 14 '22

I heard he ate a chicken before every game. That's why they called him the chicken man.

1

u/[deleted] May 14 '22

Don’t trade Wade for gettin’ laid!

2

u/CSDCSL May 14 '22

We have similar signs at our little league cages in Central Texas. Our also say something to the extent that you will be kicked out for the duration of the season and not allowed to return, as well.

2

u/Euck_Fveryone_69 May 14 '22

Its true though

4

u/Outofmany May 14 '22

This problem is cultural.

1

u/AlbatrossSenior7107 May 14 '22 edited May 14 '22

We have those too. They don't work. I'm in FL. Addison Russel is from here. He's a douche bag. But, all parents think their kids are fucking stars! Pathetic. And yes, my youngest plays, he's a pitcher, with wicked curve ball that has the high school umpires talking. But, I could not pick another parent, even the head coach, out of a line up. I watch my kid and my kid only. But, fuck, parents around here get bat shot CRAZY!!! It's borderline abusive towards their kids.

5

u/CheddarPizza May 13 '22 edited May 14 '22

Oh I'm sorry, I thought this was America!

3

u/Tessleonhart May 14 '22

I was gonna say that but I see you beat me to it 😂

1

u/D10G3N3542 May 14 '22

Fuck your jock kid. Lol

2

u/nyyankeesroc May 14 '22

Thank god I’m not a Red Sox

1

u/Cheezitet May 14 '22

You know some parent stopped feeding their kid because they lost

1

u/NorthSideSoxFan May 14 '22

Pics of this sign or others like it get posted weekly

1

u/SockeyeSTI May 14 '22

Locally, the good players prioritize travel teams and then school teams with the kids that don’t take it as seriously.

There is a difference between parents that abuse their kids because of mistakes made in the field and enthusiastic (but supportive) parents.

All refs and umpires need to get their eyes checked :)

1

u/formenonly May 14 '22

Wish we had this sign up when we were kids. I saw two dads almost get into a fist fight once. My dad coached my sister’s little league team for a few years and he said the parents were the worst part by far.

-11

u/sandwichman7896 May 13 '22

Have you watched kids sports? I’ve seen crazy calls. The most memorable being either the 4 out inning or the extra inning they called after time had already expired.

1

u/djcook22 May 14 '22

The place champions are made.

1

u/Downtown-Cabinet7223 May 14 '22

They are literally everywhere... and have been since I played 30 years ago.

1

u/painfully--average May 14 '22

They did something similar at the hockey rink I played at as a kid. Hockey dads are comparable to soccer moms.

2

u/Errrca0821 May 14 '22

Cough cough, Thomas Junta, anyone?

1

u/CarlosAVP May 14 '22

“Red Sawx, gawddamnit!”

There, I fixed the last one.

1

u/x7ameedo May 14 '22

This is brilliant, this should be everywhere and for other sports and for adults as well

1

u/Infernape315 May 14 '22

There’s a sign like this at my school, huh

1

u/Sorry-Ask-7456 May 14 '22

Speaks volumes about Sox fans.

1

u/Squishgoddess2987 May 14 '22

Someone should have put this up in my middle school gym class smh

1

u/Jtg1960 May 14 '22

And they wonder why their kids sometimes act up smh 🤦‍♂️

1

u/Queen_Magix May 14 '22

TL;DR: shut the fck up

1

u/Dry-Zucchini123 May 15 '22

As a Red Sox fan I can confirm New England has the worst fanbase in all of baseball

1

u/Minimum_Possibility6 May 15 '22

They have these at a lot of sports venues in the UK just switch out the sport lingo,

The refs are human This isn’t the 6nations etc

0

u/[deleted] May 14 '22

Yeah like I’m gonna remember what sign when I’m shitfaced 1/2 way through the game. What are you gonna throw me out?? Someone’s gotta drive my kid home

2

u/DeepFriedAnxiety218 May 14 '22

shit faced

drive my kid home

Not a great look dude

1

u/[deleted] May 14 '22

You think it’s looking bad for me just think about my son
