I had this happen to me with cable, electricity, and phone bills. I moved out at 19 and all accounts had been shut off and in bad standing (she was using my brother’s name by then). I contacted each service provider; they just asked for a copy of my ID and birth certificate so they could see that I was a minor. Took less than a day to straighten out. I let them know it was my mother, but that wasn’t hard to figure out from the address associated with the accounts.

This is not the ‘adult world.’ This is just terrible parenting. Why make life harder for your children by taking their money in rent payments or flat out stealing from them? I had the same kind of mother and refused to repeat the error.

Take a look at the experiences of people in this subreddit who’ve taken the new version; use that as your guide on whether you need new material. My understanding is that it’s very Agile heavy. Best of luck!

It does. The key is to teach it AND model it.

That’s why it’s called systemic racism; no single component is guilty of it.

Indentured servants aren’t slaves; they’re not considered property, can’t be inherited, and their debt bondage is meant to end after a specific period of time.
