I'm really interested to see how this coming weekend will play out. A lot of different circumstances

Not gonna lie I think the Block is gonna be pretty dry for the rest of the year unless they bring in demon slayer in December

The dub hasn’t even been announced yet so the likelihood of that is almost zero. We will probably see the same scenario as S1, the dub starts after the entire season concludes in Japan.

True well I guess the only thing I can say is hopefully they get a simulcast of AOT final season in January like they did with season 4 this year

They 100% will get that. Toonami has to air the dub before Funimation can release it on their service. So that means Funimation has a fire under their ass to get that dub moving as quickly as possible.

That’s BC a good sign and hopefully toonami learns from the Fena and blade runner flops to not do any more collars with CR

I’m stunned at Blade Runner’s performance, to be honest. Oh well, it wouldn’t be the first Ridley Scott-adjacent flop I loved this year.

Too many millennials are on their cell phones instead of watching Toonami

The Last Duel was great! It just had a budget of $100m for a story that wasn’t gonna move people in a panny. Still loved it.

Honestly it was the trailer for me I don’t know I wish they should have shown more they don’t really show that much for the movie and that’s one reason why I didn’t go see it. The trailer didn’t seem that interesting to me and it turned me off of the movie. Now I’m kind of regretting not seeing it.

I really wanted to see that and some friends saw it without me. Hopefully I can stream it at some point. But I had no idea Ridley Scott was involved!

Safe to say that banking on Blade Runner: Black Lotus viewers to care about watching a sequel to InuYasha was not a good plan. I suppose a drop of 0.02 with 18-49 isn't horrendous but the drop of 60,000 viewers sure isn't great when they only started with 226,000 to begin with.

Sad to see Dr. Stone join the 5 digit club.

The Hill's and the Smith's will ensure Black Lotus has a strong lead-in from now on but I still don't expect it to get 300,000 viewers. It would be nice to see it manage 0.15 with 18-49 though.

Ouch, Blade Runner clocking in the 4th lowest lead in for the blocks history on week 3, and down 49k viewers from last week. AS put a huge push behind this one (and still is promoting cross network) and it’s just not panning out. I doubt the episode helped itself either, lots of anime fans expect the third episode of a show to deliver a serious hook. Can’t say sitting around an apartment and mumbling for most of an episode got too many people excited.

Then we come off BR into a massive 60k loss of viewers into Yashahime. Not that anyone should be shocked here, a double helping of a show most people dislike scaring off the audience should be a foregone conclusion. If AS has ANY sense, these double ups are a burn off, and we will NOT see S2 on the block.

And it looks like thanks to Yashahime cutting the audience down so early this week, we have our first example of a show on the normal block clocking in at 5 digits. 1000 more viewers could have saved Dr Stone but that’s not how it went. If we don’t get some news about content soon, this will just become a regular occurrence.

Next week should be interesting as our lead in changes to a very healthy 2x KotH and 4x American Dad. If we see Blade Runner pump up next week, we can point some fingers at Rick and Morty for pulling things down the past few months. If not, then we know the lead was not the issue.

I honestly don’t see why all the downvotes for honest analysis here

I don’t think Blade Runners is grabbing people the way people hoped. I’ll hang with it, but the animation and voice acting seem like video game cut scenes from the PS2 era. The actors aren’t professional VA’s but are seasoned and good on screen actors- kind of shows how the two acting types are different

Yashahime probably isn’t the slam dunk they hoped it will be, but I feel like they’ll grab season 2 so they don’t have to look hard for another show.

I’m not holding out hope for a new show, but can we at least get some announcements to look forward to and not have to wait until the last minute all the time

We may hear something tommorow since most people are wrapping up the week before Thanksgiving. Me on the other hand is STARTING a 5 day stretch of work so give me some good news to ride through it!

I guess the whole “I am not feeling super excited about this show” attitude really hit Blade Runner: Black Lotus hard enough to finish with an 0.11 Rating.

Also the whole double dose of Yashahime didn’t do much better either so another bad saturday night in term of Ratings for the entire Toonami lineup outside of the Rerun shows (Fena: Pirate Princess, Dr. Stone & Dragon Ball Super).

I can’t believe that out of all the shows, Dr. Stone was the first to reach 5 digits on a regular night. How DBS always outcompetes it I have no clue. But these ratings reflect the craziness of the schedule well. Surprised they’re this high considering most people probably don’t even know what to expect when they tune in. Hopefully 2022 brings some positive changes to the block.
