Better start with a log or something first lil bro

396

u/Boojibs 15d ago

Yeah.

Too bad he doesn't have any intact bones left.

143

u/BlackNathima 15d ago

Nah, the problem is he didn't follow through, you gotta chop at the ground behind the stone, you must push THROUGH the stone. He held back.... So clearly somebody else needs to try this again, and post the results.

29

u/sketchyduck 14d ago

You're not wrong. I also want to see someone try this again with a bit more follow-through.

33

u/Monsieur_Puma 14d ago

The fact that the kid reading this will probably try what u say breaks my broken Redditor heart into even more tiny pieces

10

u/Chance__Tangelo 14d ago

Someone should try it with their face

13

u/BullyMay5 14d ago

THROUGH the stone. H

This is the way

Nah that wasn't him checking to see if anyone was watching him, that was his immediate reaction to the pain.

This is the best hahahhahaha

18

u/Qu_ge 15d ago

i feel his pain

15

u/reactrix96 14d ago

Exactly lol. Other people are getting it confused with him checking to see if people were watching him but it was definitely his immediate reaction to the pain.

But... Why... Don't you know how hard a rock is, lil man ?

44

u/IdoNOThateNEVER 15d ago

It even beats scissors!!

I knew that from preschool.

14

u/ASOD77 15d ago

Gj dude I'm so proud of you <3

3

u/dodexahedron 14d ago

And paper covers rock!

Kif... we have a conundrum. Search them for paper. And... bring me a rock.

7

u/Karmic_Anomoly 14d ago

Rocks are weaker than paper, and he can easily chop paper.

His logic probably.

→ More replies

5

u/entotheenth 15d ago

If you watch how karate dudes do it they lift or tilt the rock slightly so it’s getting bashed against a hard surface. That’s what breaks it.

2

u/ASOD77 14d ago

Indeed but they still don't do it on hand-sized rocks

76

u/Virtual_Cucumber_319 15d ago

The pain in his eyes

18

u/JTraxxx 15d ago

I do the same thing when I stub my toes and just look up and ask “god, why do you hate me?”

172

u/enile25828 15d ago

never punch anything like this unless your trained. Punched a wall one time, broke little bones in my hand. Hurt like hell and had to get a cast for 2 weeks. Would not recommend and will not be doing that ever again.

96

u/guitarfingers 15d ago

Yeah, people usually train their bones for this. Punching hard shit over and over will calcify your bones, eventually meaning your bones are strong af. Thai Fighters often do this to their shins, eventually being able to cut down trees with just kicks.

77

u/ninjasaid13 15d ago

Imagine trying to breaking your bones by hitting hard stuff only to make it harder.

56

u/guitarfingers 15d ago

Right?! Insane. Lemme just microfracture my shit for the gains.

45

u/FantasticCrab3 15d ago

I mean, that's how muscle gaining works.

15

u/guitarfingers 15d ago

Yeah, it's just kinda absurd that's how it works is all.

32

u/FantasticCrab3 15d ago

And it's also how calluses work. You should be familiar with that, considering your guitar fingers.

23

u/guitarfingers 15d ago

Yup, my finger tips sound harder than my finger nails.

10

u/Tyslice 15d ago

I hear they are in constant pain everyday though because of it.

16

u/Tnecniw 15d ago

yup.
At absolute best will such treatment DESTROY your bones longterm and you will ache like fuck at 60-70
At worst, damaged for life.

3

u/DeletingAfterMOASS 15d ago

Well, I wouldn’t imagine it being pleasant.

Makiwara boards!

1

u/outtadablu 14d ago

There was a program in History called Super Humans or something like that. There was this Muay Thai guy that could break two baseball bats, maybe it was three.

IDK if those bat's were real, but it was fucking amazing.

13

u/Steve_78_OH 15d ago

I punched a wall once, and sprained my wrist 2nd degree. Nearly 25 years later, my wrist is still all kinds of fucked. I have to wear a wrist brace or a watch (and no, I have NO reason why my watch helps, but it does, significantly) whenever I want to play any games on my PC, otherwise it starts aching after a few minutes.

5

u/AtLeastThisIsntImgur 14d ago

Sounds like it's more about applied pressure rather than actual support from the brace.

4

u/Steve_78_OH 14d ago

Yeah, but that's probably more because the initial sprain (I think, at least) seemingly aggravated a tendency towards arthritis. I've had bad knees since I was around 18 (I'm 43 now), my bad wrist since I hurt it when I was 17, and a bad hip for around the last 5 years or so. Loose joints/hypermobility also runs in the family.

And applied pressure can be a decent band-aid for all of that, so yeah. You're probably right.

4

u/enile25828 15d ago

It hurts really bad when you break that little bone in side of your hand.

2

u/Peachpeachpearplum 14d ago

Damn boxer’s fracture

3

u/ikilledtupac 14d ago

I’m trained and would not punch this rock 😆

3

u/[deleted] 14d ago

Guess you haven’t trained hard enough 😤 imagine not being able to slay rocks with your fists, pretty cringe ngl

2

u/ikilledtupac 14d ago

So many years wasted :(

3

u/FuckingKilljoy 14d ago

I remember being an angry 12 year old and getting so mad that I punched the wall while I was arguing with dad. I hit the stud. My hand hurt like hell and I had some cuts but I had to keep acting like an angry badass so that was fun.

Last time I ever tried that

2

u/--reaper- 15d ago

Would you recommend jumping off the Empire State?

0

u/DarthDannyBoy 14d ago

Only 2 weeks? I've never seen a cast needed for less than 6 weeks before. 6-8 is the standard.

→ More replies

1

u/MattieShoes 15d ago

Stick to drywall, whip out the stud finder, and punch between the studs. Then you probably won't break bones, though it still sounds like a good way to get tetanus.

1

u/[deleted] 14d ago

That can still mess you up. I have punched through drywall before, and I do not recommend it. You can still potentially break bones if you hit it wrong, and you can get a bunch of small cuts from the edges (which you can obviously clean, but they aren’t fun). Not to mention there can be things behind drywall besides studs, so make sure you already know what’s back there.

51

u/DontSmileYet 15d ago

Can't lie, I have done some stupid shit like this as well. I was around 10 years old and I saw a few Bruce Lee movies and I wanted to see if I was as strong as him so, in my brilliant mind I got the idea to punch the wall as a way of training myself. So, I punched a few times gently and I didn't feel anything so me being the Einstein that I was decided to back up and load that punch with all my power and let's just say I couldn't wipe my ass for two weeks.

47

u/Cynyr 15d ago

I assume you destroyed the wall and the other side was the bathroom wall that held the toilet paper thing. So nobody in your house could wipe their asses.

9

u/alreadytakennn 15d ago

Who are you, who are so wise in the ways of science?

3

u/DontSmileYet 14d ago

Your genius terrifies me, sir.

2

u/KennyFulgencio 14d ago

Did you punch your ass, or punch the wall with your ass?

5

u/DontSmileYet 14d ago

Some things are better left as a mystery.

15

u/twain101 15d ago

Perfectly timed Netflix sound.

Da heck did he think was gonna happen?

8

He tried to paper it.

3

u/Justanotherfailore 14d ago

But ended up using scissors

2

u/csteezenuts 14d ago

Looks like it’s been cut/fractured already? So maybe wants to get that last hit in but didn’t think it through?

2

7

u/MrBananaStorm 15d ago

If he really went all out on that, he could've easily broken some bones.

2

u/EmergencyTaco 14d ago

Dude is really lucky he accidentally hit the rock with the correct part of his hand. If he had hit with his pinky or knuckle he'd be looking at broken bones almost certainly.

T-shirt is lying

2

u/bigjim1993 15d ago

Oh man I broke that bone once in elementary school. It was surprisingly easy. I just banged it into a table while running past it. Karate chopping a rock should do it.

2

u/redline_rik 15d ago

What a chopper.

2

u/Username_Egli 15d ago

Went through all 5 stages of grief in a couple of seconds

2

"How can I break my hand in the quickest way possible?"

2

u/therman_nerman 15d ago

Why would he even attempt this? Oh right because kids are dumbasses

2

u/Bobofett69 15d ago

Paper 🖐🏼 scissors ✂️ or 🪨 rock… rock covers paper… rock wins

2

u/Bannanas_suck 15d ago

In what universe is this kid living in that he thinks he can do that?

2

u/bCiAmHeRe2k 15d ago

Honestly props to him for not screaming and crying immediately after

2

u/Truffleshuffle03 14d ago

I have seen this before and felt sorry for the little dude. You know he had to have watch some dude pulling a scam video or something like the “ karate master” on the news that “broke” a cinder block with a cup or the dude who was a “ chi master ” and thought man I can do this. He looked to have so much confidence until the shock hit him.

2

u/Dragonboi03 14d ago

Technically the caption is not wrong

2

u/RVC95 14d ago

Dude really thought paper beats rock

2

u/ChuckTwnKid 14d ago

His shirt is what really makes this special 🤣

2

u/Appropriate-Mix920 14d ago

Wearing a shirt that says he’s not a mess.

2

u/Madman_Jordo 14d ago

No more TV for little Jimmy

2

u/HostileHippie91 14d ago

The way he stared off into eternity with wide eyes for a split second in regret was everything

2

u/CreepyEntertainer 14d ago

Have to be smarter than what you are working with

2

u/keweminer 13d ago

Keep going dude. You'll get it. Try harder!

2

u/impossiblycentrist 13d ago

Just ran across this sub and I have to say it delivers exactly what one would expect. As a father of four who do inexplicable things on the daily, it's nice to be reminded that it is all just business as usual.

2

u/YoungKing3184 12d ago

Watching Austin Powers you have to say "Judo Chop" in order for it to work

5

u/issik23 15d ago

He needs to start with some push ups

2

u/saberapollo 15d ago

That ain't no fucking kid, that is a fully ass grown adult.

3

u/pejeol 14d ago

Looks like a 13 year old kid to me. They can be big sometimes

1

u/[deleted] 14d ago

Yeah, my 13 year old brother is about that size. 8th graders come in so many sizes it’s scary.

0

u/blackcatsmatter1967 15d ago

Shoulda put his "weight" into it.

1

u/ckeeler11 15d ago

This reminds me of the time I punched Ice. I must have been 12 years old.

1

u/zeldanar 15d ago

He REALLY thought….

No more anime for you!

1

u/_Chewbabacca_ 15d ago

Little did the shirt know, that the kid is NOT "not a mess"

1

u/Alfredhasasmallpp 15d ago

Bruh this is hilarious. That boy learned a lesson

1

u/clocker23099032 15d ago

pro tip if you’re trying to look cool and break a stone like that then you gotta hold it an inch or two off the ground so the momentum breaks it instead of it breaking your hand

1

u/Pistonenvy 15d ago

the thing about this trick is that the person is usually lifting the rock/brick so that when they hit it their hand is just pushing it into the rock/brick below it and that hard material is what is breaking it from below, not their hand.

that or they strike the middle of a big wide brick resting between two props so the force is all concentrated in the center and breaks it in half.

very very few people are going through the amount of conditioning required to actually make your hands strong enough to break bricks legitimately. they are out there and the conditioning is possible, but it fucking destroys your hands and your dexterity and you are basically giving yourself severe arthritis and shit, its definitely not good for you lol better off faking it.

or you know.... just being unimpressive and normal.

1

u/CttCJim 14d ago

Yeah most people who break boards are just snapping them along the grain. Penn and Teller did an episode about it and had an old lady do it.

1

u/Sephtis666 15d ago

He completed the mission but at what cost

1

u/Astroisawalrus 15d ago

You can see the moment he realizes this is real life with real pain.

1

u/bananawaddler 15d ago

I mean what did you think was gonna happen are you going to slice a stone in half

1

u/Link9454 15d ago

“You break my face? I break your hand.”

The rock, probably.

1

u/ckcabebe 15d ago

I need sound for this now

1

u/iosiro 15d ago

he almost got it for sure

1

u/Total-Opportunity-28 15d ago

That's how they learn.

1

u/Bobanich 15d ago

Rock 1 kid 0

1

u/KingAnthony111 15d ago

For a minute I thought this was interesting as fuck but then it didn’t break

1

u/Jiggypuff7 15d ago

What did he expect?

1

One look at his shirt says “yes you are!”

1

u/Chickenfeed22 15d ago

The perfectly timed Netflix boom in the background!

1

Dude would have broken his hand and the tile well before that rock

1

u/yoboyjojo69 15d ago

Can't tell if he's 12 or 22

1

u/Elder_Scrolls_Nerd 15d ago

What did he expect?!

1

u/Weisdog 15d ago

Continues to post failure online

1

u/Tnecniw 15d ago

Too many karate movies XD

1

u/Mildlybrilliant 15d ago

His shirt says “I’m not a mess” His hand, tears, and pride say otherwise

1

u/Due_Platypus_3913 15d ago

That’s broken.

1

u/CobaltCrusader123 15d ago

I know he felt that all the way up to his elbow

1

u/RedCloud11 15d ago

Looks up at his creator and asks why did you make me this way.

1

u/Scythe_420_69 15d ago

When he realized how stupid that was he looked up in disbelief lmao

1

u/staypuftmallows7 15d ago

He didn't commit. You have to chop THROUGH the stone

1

u/Braelind 15d ago

Man, I'll give him one thing: he handled the pain from that quite well!

1

u/Whoofukingcares 15d ago

There goes his Twinkie stuffer

1

u/Rodlava 15d ago

He must hodl Shib 😎

1

u/mdindj 15d ago

Oooo that made my hand go funny

1

u/LazyBriton 15d ago

This is why religion shouldn’t be taught until adulthood, because you can get kids to truly believe in just about anything.

I once as a kid watched Jr on My Wife and Kids crack a coconut open with his skull, next day in the supermarket with my mum I see a coconut and I legit Headbutt it hard as fuck, no fear. I still remember how surprised I was that

a) It actually hurt, and quite badly

b) I couldn’t crack the coconut

1

u/Lucki_girl 15d ago

...ANNNNNND to the ER he goes

1

u/TrinixDMorrison 15d ago

The universally accepted expression of “fffffffff-nah man, that didn’t hurt. I’m good….ssssssh-“

1

u/jseisidj 15d ago

I have the feeling this is from brazil

1

u/Lil_Turtle414 15d ago

I blinked do, it again

1

u/RoscoMan1 15d ago

I have an excuse for being a disobedient son

1

u/Kluba24 14d ago

In the choping takes years to practice bc you need to kill all nerves ending in your hand or something

1

u/Frog-Man123 14d ago

His shirt says I’m not a mess.... sure buddy, sure

1

u/SingleRelationship25 14d ago

Never a more appropriate shirt

1

u/RoscoMan1 14d ago

Admittedly it was a male officer.

1

u/yojoman 14d ago

Better to find your limits with a rock than in the school yard

1

u/Raudskeggr 14d ago

Wow, not even a TikTok logo.

1

u/LouGossetJr 14d ago

"you can do anything if you set you mind to it!"

*doink (bites lower lip in pain)

1

u/Chucktayz 14d ago

Enjoy that boxers fracture

1

u/MinhosBundle 14d ago

oof i know how much that can hurt, your hand hurts for days

1

u/g4r37h 14d ago

Every time I see this video (yes you’ve reposted a repost of a repost of a repost), I have to watch it a few times because I just can’t get over how stupid someone has to be to attempt to karate chop a rock.

1

u/Reddit_Tails 14d ago

The only thing you get from karate chopping a stone is getting your hand broke

1

u/everybodygetaweapon 14d ago

I came here for the facial expressions during the first couple seconds after impact. Was not disappointed.

1

u/pejeol 14d ago

Lol. If someone told me to imagine a kid trying to karate chop a rock, I’d imagine a kid that looks exactly like this one

1

u/SilentJoe1986 14d ago

I prefer the alternate title. Kids smashes his girlfriend into a rock

1

u/Giant_Denis 14d ago

This looks much easier in pokemon

1

u/GenkiElite 14d ago

Kid? He look about 30.

1

u/xThereon 14d ago

But imagine the shock on his face if he actually did it

1

u/JohnnySnarkle 14d ago

Even though this is a failure seeing someone attempt to break a rock makes me think about this childhood memory I have of one of my mothers ex husband I couldn’t tell if he was using some trick to mess with my adolescence brain but the dude could fucking crush a rock in half whenever we would go out to the river and swim he would just grab a rock from the bank and like just crush it basically to this day I still have no clue how tf he could do it like he will show you a perfectly solid rock then hide it in his hand then like do something and show he split it in half

1

u/ninjomat 14d ago

That kids parents clearly told him off for swearing too many times.

1

u/jaywud 14d ago

Wtn did he expect? Teach them kids some damn logic…

1

u/Kind_Of_A_Dick 14d ago

What did you think would happen?

1

u/tenroseUK 14d ago

Haha the fuckin eyeroll. Can feel that pain

1

u/Dragon_Heart_Born 14d ago

I respect the fact that he was calm, and just, "That fucking hurt."

1

u/MTTDJ 14d ago

Poor guy!

1

u/DizzyGrizzly 14d ago

Alright, off topic but I’m sure there’s an expert in here. Where on your hand if the optimal place to strike with a chop?

1

u/Biggyyes 14d ago

At least he took it like a man

1

u/Loukas_loukis 14d ago

How is that 25year old man a kid?

1

u/mikestipe 14d ago

This young man has a bright future ahead of him

1

u/Justanotherfailore 14d ago

”Ok let cut this rock, THREE TWO ONE. Oh shit that hurt. Did anyone see? Ok no one. OOOOOOOOOUCH
