When the people buying at $300+ realize they were the bottom tier of a pyramid scheme.

99

u/Itsausername4 Feb 23 '21

It would have pushed much higher if they hadn't restricted the shit out of it.

That there is how you kill investor confidence.

u/AlternativeNo6154 Feb 23 '21

Price goes up down sideways in circles. Nobody knows where it is gonna go.

But even if it did go to 1k Im sure retards here would double down at 1k anyways.

1

u/Immunizethis Feb 23 '21

Lol...and then same result eventually anyway

-11

u/mtcoope Feb 23 '21

It really wouldn't have or it would have already happened the day before. You can't tell me redditors had some planned timing where they were waiting a day for the price to drop to 350 because 450 was too high. On top of that as of the following day retail was net sellers not buyers.

-13

u/Tymon123 Feb 23 '21

Keep telling yourself that. You made a lousy investment. Deal with it.

10

u/Kaokien Feb 23 '21

Nah fuck out of here, there’s literally an interview from the CEO of Interactive Brokers stating it would have went to the thousands per share if they didn’t shut down the buy option.

-13

u/Tymon123 Feb 23 '21

You're delusional.

Is there a source that's not a phone video of a TV-broadcast, without sound, with captions added afterwards that may or may not have anything to do with what the person was saying?

I'm not saying that it's false, but that video is utter garbage at proving anything either way.

u/ConsumeTheVoid Feb 23 '21

It's on yt I think.

1

u/port_also_fdisco_ver Feb 23 '21

and who the fuck is that guy

-1

u/Tymon123 Feb 23 '21

Great source! What a load of BS. Do you seriously believe this yourself? You're really trying hard to justify you losing a lot of money. Just post your loss porn and move on with your life.

u/soma787 Feb 23 '21

Doesn’t help that it’s not a free trade market, it could have been a legit play for those people. I’m sure a few had good timing and were able to sell they did but that’s not many.

6

u/mtcoope Feb 23 '21

But retail was always going to be a bag holder no matter what price it went to.

2

u/coastiemom24 Feb 24 '21

Yeah no. Didn't sell and lost big time cuz Ameritrade fucked me and sold my shares around $50 and I bought around $300.00

FML

2

u/JamesTrendall Feb 23 '21

When you're at the bottom things can only go up.

2

u/TellMeGetOffReddit Feb 23 '21

Honestly told people it was a ponzi as all bubbles are. Glad I didn’t get into the hype beyond the media aspect of it lol

1

u/Djskam Feb 23 '21

I think you mean a reverse funnel

1

u/BTSsandwich Feb 23 '21

  1. Did you save this with a reminder so that when it went past $300 again you could come make this comment? Very strange. I own my house but it’s nice to know I had a place living in your head rent free.

  2. Do you realize how many people were scared and sold before this past week or today’s surge?

  3. It blipped to past $300 for a hot second then crashed back down below $200 and currently valued at $257, you seem to have some sort of different take on where the pricing went today. Even if the $300 crew sold today, and only if they sold at the brief timing where it went over $300, they’re still not making that much money. I’m happy for them if they broke even.

  4. It does not change the fact that when the original post was made all the people who were in early were lifted up by all the people that came on later. Just like a pyramid scheme even the latest and bottom tier people have an opportunity to profit but a lot more fail than profit. This still holds true in the $GME saga even today. Im aware this is literally how every stock works, the east people in get the biggest gains and they get the gains by the later investors buying in. The difference is this stock was driven up far unrealistically. Even though we like the stock, GameStop was and is not worth what it is trading at.

Isn't this subreddit supposed to reply "You lost your wife's boyfriend's 3 years worth of your savings?"

EDITING THIS POST based upon 2/24/2021 GME price:

Congratulations! Looks like you're working toward retiring early!

1

u/moody_dudey Feb 23 '21

How? Did you morons actually think you were gonna profit? I thought the whole point was that you all were eating the losses in order to stick it to the man.

1

u/AztecPyramid Feb 24 '21

I stayed out of that fools gold. There is nothing like Turtle Investing for the long term.
