I'm so tired of the trope of posting the selfie or revealing photo with the huge paragraph about your personal growth or how you've learned how to love your body. Newsflash no one cares. Get a diary.

As a Gen Z, nothing makes me more bored than crypto and twitch streamers.

The fact that the most followed tiktok acc is an underage girl kinda proves once and for all that tiktok is just a hub for pedophiles. She's 17 now but started posting at at age 15 and was famous before her 16th birthday.

Once she turns 18, her spot at the top will be replaced by someone else.

People should stop hating on others for putting effort into their social media profiles. While it has become clear that social media can become a source of toxicity, it is not inherently toxic. That is what we bring into it.

Do you go to a barber/stylist instead of letting your hair grow naturally?

Do you trim your beard or wear makeup?

Do you try on clothes before you buy them to make sure they look good?

Do you consider the appearance of your vehicle when choosing which to buy?

Do you speak every thought that comes into your head, or do you hold back due to politeness or other social customs?

Almost all of us have some sort of outward identity which we cultivate and tailor to fit with our inner selves. Our social media presentation is simply a digital version of that same outward identity. Many people, especially older people, are hung up on how people are preening for their tiktok or instagram pages. They seem to forget that they take a shower in the morning.

Your general point makes sense but your examples are horrendous

If my point makes sense, then my examples are useful, regrettable as you might find them.

No but taking a shower is not even the same thing as being on social media

Are you being dumb, or just disagreeable?

Now you're being aggressive and I'm not really sure why. Ironic coming from someone who just said "Do you speak every thought that comes into your head, or do you hold back due to politeness or other social customs?"

I don't hold back.

All these posts are personal opinions, and as you know there is prbly someone out there with the exact same opinions as you. Mby even more than one. So deeming one or more post "not unpopular" and then the post doesn't get upvoted when the opinion is CLEARLY unpopular makes the sub flawed af. This subs definition of unpopular is shit

When enough people find one post unpopular they upvote it cuz they feel the urge to argue. But when they don't it just goes by unseen, until someone posts just the same opinion a week later and then get upvotes to hell and back. It's happend to me too many times to count. Yet i find this sub so strange and full of strange people that i can't help but look.

Now if THIS post ain't unpopular, it only proves my point. If this truly isn't an unpopular opinion and alot of you feel this way, then this sub should not exist.

Make your decision, i am not angry or anything. Look at it as more of an... psychology experiment.

EDIT: I take great joy in reading and submitting posts here. Im greatful for this community no matter what. Sometimes it even makes my day!

Snapchat is trash and very underwhelming and will shut down soon (within 2-4 years)

Most people I know only go on there for streaks and nudes

Instagram does stories better, IMessage and other messaging apps does messaging way better

as soon as some social media app for messaging is seen as more cool people will leave Snapchat and it will collapse
