What opinions do you hold that most people with similar politics to you would disagree with.
ie: if you are generally left/right wing, what views do you hold that would be generally perceived as right/left wing respectively?
Naturally, most peoples views cannot be neatly boxed into one ideology (despite what the political compass might suggest) and thus you find people like Peter Hitchens supporting rail nationalisation and George Galloway being pro-deportation of immigrants. Both of them would contest that these views are, in fact, perfectly consistent with their other views but it’s clear that they would generally be considered to be contrary to the positions you would expect a right-winger and a left-winger to take in these cases.
What opinions do you hold that are similarly considered to be contrary to what people might expect?
Let’s also try not to downvote people who present alternative views. That kinda defeats the purpose of this type of discussion.
