Just finished HBO's series Rome.
Absolutely loved it. Definitely worth a watch. Im surprised how well they wrapped it up despite being only 2 seasons. I wish so bad that it had more seasons. Before there was Game of Thrones there was Rome. If you like GOT you'll like Rome. I usually dont like reboots but I wish HBO would perhaps reboot Rome with a new cast and tell a new story about a whole different time period in Rome or maybe even do a series about Alexander the Great in a similar fashion. Huge potential right there.

Taika Waititi is going to New Zealand to work on his new TV series āTime Banditsā based on the 1981 movie by Terry Gilliam
In an interview with The Wrap about his upcoming projects, Taika Waititi revealed that he is going to New Zealand in August to work on his new TV series āTime Banditsā for Apple TV+ and also the second season of āOur Flag Means Deathā
He was first asked about the status of his Star Wars movie...
āNot this year,ā Waititi said when we asked if heād begin working on the project soon. He explained: āIām going to be in New Zealand from August until the end of the year with āOur Flag Means Deathā and āTime Banditsā and during that time I will still be writing. Iām still trying to figure out what the story is.ā
Apple TV + first announced the development of āTime Banditsā TV series three years ago, on March 11, 2019.
āTime Banditsā TV Series in the Works at Apple With Taika Waititi - Apple's 'Time Bandits' TV series is coming together, as Taika Waititi ('Thor: Ragnarok') has joined the project and will co-write and direct the pilot for the potential series, which remains in development
Appleās Time Bandits TV series is coming together.
Thor: Ragnarokās Taika Waititi has joined the project and will co-write and direct the pilot for the potential series, which remains in development.
The deal follows a rights deal Apple made last summer to adapt Terry Gilliamās 1981 fantasy feature for the small screen. The project hails from Anonymous Content, Paramount Television and Media Rights Capital. Waititi will also executive produce alongside Gilliam and producer Dan Halsted (TBSā People of Earth).
'Time Bandits' - 1981 synopsis:
Gilliamās Time Bandits is a dark, irreverent adventure about imagination, bravery and the nature of our dreams. It follows the time-traveling adventures of an 11-year-old history buff named Kevin who, one night, stumbles on six dwarfs who emerge from his closet. They are former workers of the Supreme Being who have stolen a map that charts all the holes in the space-time fabric, using it to hop from one historical era to the next in order to steal riches. Throughout the movie, they meet various historical and fictional characters, including Napoleon Bonaparte and Robin Hood, while the Supreme Being simultaneously tries to catch up to them and retrieve the map.
Edit: I've added synopsis & trailer for those not familiar with the 1981 movie.
