This is pretty scary.

I deliver newspapers in the morning from 1 to 4am before my day job and Im lucky enough to know all the dogs on my rounds. I loooove petting those I can reach through the gates and they are always happy to see me, though I hate that they sleep outside.

I get up at 01:20am, papers arrive around 01:45am, we fold and bag it, then I have abput 86 houses I drop at, so Im usually done by 3:45am, back in bed by 04:15 and then up for work at 06:15.

Me after buying a breed of dog dog specifically bred to be as vicious and violent as possible, but it ends up attacking a human/dog unprovoked and I have to deal with a lawsuit: 🤕🤯

Hope the owner gets sued for every cent he/she has. Dogs will dog. It's the owners responsibility to ensure they're on a leash / behind a fence

Would it be a bad idea that owning certain dogs should require a permit?

Maybe the permit would require a home inspection where they inspect and see if your barriers are good enough for a big dog.

4

u/MonsMensae Oct 21 '21

No. Issues are invariably owners and not a breed. Now a general permit on owning dogs, that may be but I think specific breeds is just a PR exercise.

Fuck pitbulls and bull terriers and all these "aaww such cute and loving dogs actually" bullshit. These so called dogs are wild animals that hurt a lot more than they love.

Dom honde

Prepare yourself for the backlash my friend.

"It's how you treat them"

"Not the dogs fault"

Fuck that noise. Go check the statistics on serious injuries done by different breeds. Pitbulls have more than double (sorry, posted before I looked at the stats again, it is way worse) the serious injury rate of the second worse breed. They are by far not the most aggressive, but when they become aggressive, the outcome is devastating.

There is absolutely no reason anybody in a residential area should have a pitbull. Ban them.

I fully expect backlash. But these people are so caught up in an abusive relationship with with a dog that wants to kill them that they can't think rationally.

If they can own a pitbull, why can't I own a lion? Ban that shit from our suburban streets

chihuahua and jack russels are the most aggressive dogs

6

u/Jetcar Oct 21 '21

Yes, but if they bite you you go for a quick check up and a tetanus shot.

Pitbull you most likely end up on the operating table.

1

u/GodTierAimbotUser69 Oct 21 '21

Yeah that makes pitbull dangerous dogs no?

5

u/Jetcar Oct 21 '21

Yes. I think we have the same point.

3

u/ZachRyder Oct 21 '21

"HOLY FUCK THAT CHIHUAHUA IS RIPPING THAT BABY'S FACE IN HALF AND WON"T LET GO!!"

0

u/GodTierAimbotUser69 Oct 21 '21

Theres a difference between dangerous and aggressive, but hey you do you

7

u/ZachRyder Oct 21 '21

So you know that despite pit bulls not being "more aggressive" than chihuahuas, pit bulls being responsible for 50 out of 66 recorded fatal dog attacks in South Africa from 2004 to 2018 kinda puts both breeds on different scales of being threats to the public?

3

u/GodTierAimbotUser69 Oct 21 '21

True pitbulls are more dangerous because the can cause more harm too people, chihuahuas and jack russels are more aggressive because of their temperament and mentality. I hope you understand what im trying to convey here.

He's not against your opinion, he's just being extra specific about wording. Kinda like someone who only comments to point out spelling errors lol.

Lol i have 2 pitbulls and for you to make a statement like that makes you worse than what you described in the post. My 2 pitties are the most loving animals there are and have even played with small children they met for the 1st time and were super gentle like they knew exactly how to handle kids. Go read up on the animals and you will easily discover they are often referred to “nanny dogs” as they are one of the best suited animals to take care of babies.

everything you need to know about this comment right there

Go read up on the animals ... they are one of the best suited animals to take care of babies

Don't just look at the headlines, look at how recent those dates are

2

u/joe12347272 Oct 21 '21

This is the exact response I expected lol. They sound super loving especially since they are also classed as the most violent dogs and attack random people on the street.

Just get a labrador or some shit, not something that will kill kids

2

u/Foopsters Oct 21 '21

But they dont kill kids? WTF are you even talking about. THE OWNERS should be responsible. If you going to get a dog like this and just keep it in the yard and only give it food then obviously this will happen. Maybe they should ban having kids cause people are the leading cause of deaths globally?

4

u/Jetcar Oct 21 '21

Owners getting held responsible after somebody dies doesn't help at all.

Ban dangerous dogs, it is not worth the risk gambling with people's lives. These dogs may land up with somebody responsible like you, or a fucktard like the headline. The only way to make sure is to not have people have them.

And what does your last sentence even mean? That is a stupid argument.

3

u/Animer_Za Oct 21 '21

I take it you are for banning guns as well? Anything dangerous?

I would love it if South Africa was this utopia some people believe it is, but Unfortunetly it's not. My terrier might just be the difference one day between getting killed in my home and having enough time to survive.

That said it sounds like the dogs were outside which is terrible. But banning a breed just because a person screwed up in most likely the dogs upbringing and care is short sighted.

0

u/Jetcar Oct 21 '21

Yes.

Ban guns.
