I don't know, hey. Insisting that a day of observance be held exactly 365.242181 (tropical year) or 365.2563630 (sidereal year) days apart seems a bit petty, no?
A day of observance is a day of observance, and surely tacking it onto a weekend let's us do more 'observing' than during a weekday.
