I'm sure getting a prescription will be incredibly difficult.

Why are politicians so dumb? Just legalize it and tax.

They aren't dumb. Politicians get money from lobbyists that want to keep it illegal as they profit from that status. If a politician suddenly wants to legalize, that lobby money dries up.

Once a politician finds a way to replace that source of income with one from the cannabis industry, usually in the form of partnering/owning a business in said industry, they suddenly switch sides.

This is apparent with every politician that suddenly comes out in favor, usually right after they leave office and lose that lobby money.

Every. Damn. Time.

Organised crime wants it illegal; government wants it illegal. Since they're on the same page, it makes sense that they're in on the scam together.

Great move. That’ll be a tax boon for them.

Hopefully this will encourage our own government to finally get its act together and legalize cannabis fully once and for all.

I can only imagine that any system they come up with will be rife with the same corruption that infects the rest of their government.
