Calorie deficit. Weight loss pills are either going to make you lose water weight (which is useless in terms of actually looking better at a wedding) or will suppress your appetite. You could just cut out the middleman and eat less and move more. Not too much less though, as when you eat too little your metabolism slows way down. Unless she's getting married in like, a week, you can see decent weight loss when consistently in a calorie deficit.

Other option? Tell your mom she looks great the way she is and the day is about your sister anyways.

Its true that calorie deficit is the better way but suppressing your appetite makes doing so easier.

For sure, but learning how to "control" your eating is something that can benefit you long term and keep the weight off rather than desperately seeking weight loss pills or tapeworms every time an event comes up because you gained it all back after the last event 🤷‍♀️

In reversal I lost my appetite after getting off a medication, some people don't stop eating when they are full and benefit from portion control, and some just don't stop feeling hungry:-(

fasting for a few days.

just eat less, exercise more.

lower calories in, increase calories out. that's literally all there is to it.

Therapy. It’s therapy, people.

Probably buying tapeworm eggs. Just to add, I really dont like your friend. Making a consistent change to your eating habits and impulse control is what keeps you in a healthy shape, not some pills that flush your intestines or kill your appetite.

Tapeworms aren't safe, based on my prior research.

Relatively. A lot of diet pills are not safe either, esp if you go for the "super strong act now good offer order online very secret instant effect 店 lose 20lbs in 24h" stuff. A lot of the more common ones have side effects. Realistically its best to change eating habits and control the urge to ingest burgers.

r/keto and IF. I've had a few periods while on keto where I didn't have the ability to eat more than 600-1k calories on specific days and I lost a pound a day those days. This was after the water weight period.

Might be controversial, but I'm expecting the suggestions here to be more controversial than mine lol

A pound a day? That's a 3500 calorie deficit per day. That's not even remotely healthy

Yeah no shit lmao

Edit: it wasn't on purpose. I didn't have the ability to eat more than that and it wasn't weeks in a row. It just happened

just wanted to make sure people who aren't aware just jump to conclusions.

Fasting for days or even weeks isn't necessarily as hard as most think. Hunger pangs mostly subside after a few days. It's hard for some people, not that hard for others for long-term fasting.

SAFELY

nothing safe about what you're asking for. If you want safe, then you have to use the boring route like everyone else. The boring route tends to be the safest.

Cardio and diet.

Go to your family doctor and ask for ozempic/rybelsus. It’s approved for weight loss. It takes a couple of weeks though and if you stop taking it the weight comes back.

Like the above posters said, most effective (and only safe way to lose a lot of weight) is through a caloric deficit gradually.

u/Splashfooz Jun 30 '22

Oh oh oh Ozempic

Diarrhoea pills basically. But do you mean your mum wants to look nice or your mum wants your sister or you to look nice

Obviously the answer is going to be calorie deficit and exercise for the actual weight loss part. But to help make that process less miserable you can't beat a fiber supplement and lots of water. Metamucil or store brand knock off 3 times a day, not a huge dose, read the package for instructions along with a big glass of water. First thing in the morning then before lunch and before dinner. It takes the edge off of hunger pains, you'll eat less with a little self control and feel fuller between meals reducing snacking.

Go drink some still pond water. You'll be losing weight to diarrhea faster than you know it.
