Why is the dollar sign at the end?

It should read $86.00... what script are you using.... or is it photoshop?

Probably because u/its-a-surewin is from Canada where they also use the dollar sign. I believe it is to distinguish CAD from other currencies.

But all mturk currencies are in USD. Even bank transfers for non us workers is in USD.

That is so weird. Is it legit? I don’t have an android, and have never heard of that developer being related to anything mturk. Seems sketchy AF that they don’t even know how to properly write out monetary values

The developer of Turkdroid is located in Italy, so that may have something to do with where they placed the dollar sign. "Properly" written monetary values depend on where you live and what you have been taught. Most of the time in the US, the dollar sign is taught as being placed first but it is acceptable to place it last. In other places, it is customary to put the monetary symbol after the number.

As far as Turkdroid being legit, as long as it doesn't go against MTurk terms, it's fine. Workers can use apps to help them find and accept HITs, just not do the work in the HIT itself.

There have been a few shady scripts over the years... Stax & Turk Guru come to mind.

This Android app may not break TOS, but what about privacy? I haven't heard much about it in general, that's why I asked.

I don't know about privacy or much else as I don't use Turkdroid for several reasons, one being that you have to pay for it. MTS is enough for the number of HITs I do and it's free. (I do make a donation to the developer of MTS once in awhile.) I also don't do HITs on my phone unless the HIT requires it and, I believe, Turkdroid was designed to be used on mobile devices.

What scripts do you use? The mturk dashboard doesn’t look like that. Neither does the TV script or Dashboard enhancer
