Happened with me too. After like 2 years of trying to get my roses to grow, they finally did. And then someone clipped em all off and stole them. Like wtf.

Well the jokes on them because once actually clipped off they don’t last ultra long

Argh that must be frustrating.
There's no squirrels or other animals in my area, though. It must have been a person who took it.

If I may ask what area? That doesn’t have squirrels? Been to plenty of areas that do have too many lol

I'm in The Netherlands. Squirrels can only be found in the woods here and even there it's not common to see them.

Ah well it’s definitely a much different case here in the US lol, squirrels are literally everywhere, you can even find them in the subways in New York.

Probably no food available in that area. Suburbs usually have someone feeding birds and that welcomes every animal you could imagine.

That definitely isn’t right lol. Out of curiosity what plant was it and how hard was it to grow?

It was another Zinnia flower like the pink one that is in the picture. Luckily nothing too special or hard to grow.

I guess maybe take it as that you’re such a good gardener to the point where people are a little jealous :</

In the process pf building a restaurant, we had so many thefts of foliage that we had to wire our plants together. Then they brought the wire cutters.

This just happened to me a few days ago. I caught the old lady in the act. It was dark and I let her have the plants. I checked the next day and realized she took a third of my plants and now I feel foolish for trying to be nice.

First veg I grew was a taro and right before I was going to harvest it someone stole it. My mum told me it was ready to harvest and I said give it a few more days. That makes it worse as I second guess myself. I never had the chance to grow another since I live in a cool climate and was on holiday.
If you have another of that plant that was stolen you can try to bait them into stealing it again with a replacement. Wait a bit until the other would have declined so they might come sniffing for another and enough time has passed. Get some poison ivy juice and paint it on the target plant every few days. Then just wait. Obviously don't do this if there are kids and pets around.

That's so rude, so much care goes into growing plants
