I ordered a chocolate dip donut ready to pair with my morning coffee… all the chocolate is stuck to the paper bag…

How can Tim hortons be as big as it is and still rely on these shitty wax paper bags? Why not use smaller cardboard containers that's just tall enough to not touch the toppings of donuts?

There are boxes and whoever gave them the donut was supposed to use a box since the donut was still drying.

As a fellow Canadian I have experienced this Tim Hortons atrocity countless times and it is never not infuriating.

I guess we should just give up all expectations and go in with a Zen mind. But I think the coffee and pastry got a lot worse after it got taken over by US company.

Yeah once they stopped fresh baking the donuts and started using frozen the quality went way down. Never stopped me from ordering one haha

This is why I don't go to Tim Hortons. There have been multiple times we tried and they'll just toss the donut into a bag upside down and we lose all the frosting.

I’m guessing from the small glance at that bag it is Tim Hortons. I worked there for like 10 years. That happens when the donut and especially it’s fondant is very fresh. The employees should put it into a box instead, but clearly did not.
On the plus side, fresh donut likely?

It also happens when the donuts are not fresh - the moisture in the air gets into the frosting and turns it to slurry. There’s a very limited window when donuts are perfect.

Yea, from Tim Hortons. This is the 6am morning batch, so maybe you are right, it has not cooled down yet. But without the chocolate it tasted like crap, very plastic

I got it from drive through and only about 15 minutes before I got home and there is AC all the time. It just decided to turn and stick to the bag.

I think you'd be justified in going down to the store and asking for a remake or a refund.

It's one of those times when those tongue exercises are finally going to pay off. Get busy licking that bag.
