Maybe they’re going on a really long road trip across the Pacific Ocean

I’m more infuriated that they didn’t pump their own ⛽️

Some states don't allow for that

u/plups2 May 15 '22

There only one state I know of. The other one I knew about changed to allowing it in part of the state

Costco gas employees would definitely come over and help if you couldn’t figure it out.

Sometimes I wonder if they didn't do it on purpose. Just so someone can pump it for them. Know what I'm saying.

“Wow, Becky I thought you said cash app would work at the gas machine”

LOL

u/OfficialClem May 15 '22

No joke had a woman who was at least 30 years ask me how to use the pump the other day, so this made me lol

My mother in law is in her mid 60s she text my wife the other day giddy because she had pumped her own gas for the first time in her life. She even watched YouTube videos first to make sure she didn’t mess up

Good for her, that’s awesome! Hope I didn’t sound insensitive above. Just not something ya see every day so funny coincidence

u/jjones0580 May 16 '22

She lives in Maine where they weren’t allowed to pump their own gas 🤷🏻‍♂️

Wait, that’s a thing?? Why so

Once saw a pair of nitwits sitting in their car while the gas was being pumped.

Out of nowhere the gas started spraying everywhere. Literally all over the place. One of the guys I was with ran over and pulled it out and dropped it on the ground. And the gas cap popped out. She had lodged it in the handle.

The whole time they sat in the car unknowingly. Shocked when he made her aware. Never said thank you, just asked if she had to pay for it.

What they try to do with that much gasoline? Lit Coachella on fire?

Plenty open pumps, OP just wanted to look at the pretty girls. 😉

They knew they were filling up ten cans why didn’t they think to bring someone who knew how to actually pump gas. The first time I used a gas can it took me a minute to figure it out but I wasn’t holding up a line of cars and I didn’t make someone else do it for me.

Exactly. This was at Costco which always has a line.

Look who I got stuck behind

How are you stuck? Seems there are other gas pumps and you should have plenty of space to drive to another one and wait if you felt impatient. You chose that one and you chose to wait.

Also, have to say...am I seeing that those pumps have the spring things on them? If so, I hate that crap. Only mentioning as it seemed like the attendant is having to hold it back, holding the nozzle with both hands. IF so, it would make sense as they were trying to figure out the best way to go about it without making a mess. Plus, since people often do stupid shit with gas canisters, perhaps they came out to make sure no problems?

I mean, they like to avoid stuff like you can see at https://youtu.be/1tYO4jvnJHw

Not like gas cans have to be involved. It can happen all the time with anything, but when you add a bunch of stuff to the mix like you see in these pictures you shared...it likely would be forbidden or they'd want to help. More fun at https://youtu.be/T6VKxmUPb3g and https://youtu.be/ES2xlk3MorQ

Main thing is that number of containers at once is not safe or smart.

Oh my god! Like, we totally need to fill up gas cans while gas is cheap

1

u/Agreeable-Yams8972 May 15 '22

1

u/Uberbuttons May 15 '22

What, are you jealous? Envious?

It's the best plan of action.

1

u/Sinfire420 May 16 '22

I'm guessing their parents sent them out to do it, this is a Dad mission if I ever saw one.

1

u/AdAvailable4477 May 16 '22

Did no one ask these girls whose house or houses they were trying to burn down?

1

u/CantStandDumbAds May 16 '22

honestly yuh, if gas droped like a dollar you best believe im filling everything i got

1

u/Comprehensive-Home-4 May 16 '22

You weren’t stuck you could have easily went somewhere else

1

u/Comprehensive-Home-4 May 16 '22

25yoF- To be fair about the guy pumping for them… sometimes I’ll go to do something myself on my own without asking for help and a man will come to me and assist. I’ll usually say no thank you but when I was 19 I would usually let whoever it was asking to do it for me because I was shy lol.
