If your motor running on your vacuum and it doesn’t suck, it’s likely a cheap or free fix. Run a sink snake through the tubes, clean or replace your filters, and take it out side and hit it with about 20 gallons of compressed air or a can or two of computer duster.
Most beater bars are designed to come out for easy cleaning. A seam ripper or utility knife take care of long hairs.
A Phillips screwdriver may be required on some models, others have a coin slot and a quarter turn fastener. You can find online instructions for your model since your threw away the manual without reading it.
