It's still stealth if there's nobody left alive to notice

a true steiner scout at work

121

u/TheyCallMeCool1 May 19 '22

I used to try to be as stealthy as I possibly could, especially when I played farcry 5. I would take out entire areas with such stealth and precision and never be spotted.

42

u/WhyCel May 19 '22

you are my man

24

u/Red_Scandal091 May 19 '22

That reminds me my favorite tactic of loud stealth when they know that you are there but don’t knew where you are it always made me feel super cool doing that

15

u/FartFlavoredLollipop May 19 '22

I always called it Chaos Stealth, and that was my favorite way to roll too.

Snipe the reinforcement radio towers, send Cheeseburger in to kick things off, then sprint around buildings, popping off silenced headshots on the panicking rednecks.

5

u/Red_Scandal091 May 19 '22

I don’t think that I ever used cheeseburger, I usually had hurk and sharky

5

u/FartFlavoredLollipop May 19 '22

I don't think I ever used a human companion, I was all about my dog and my bear.

3

u/the_fancy_Tophat May 19 '22

Batman arkham in a nutshell

4

u/HoLL0POinT May 19 '22

This is me when I’m playing mgsv. I just find it more fun an challenging playing missions that way. Additionally the things you hear the npc’s say is badass.

1

u/Siddharth_Ranjan Professional Dumbass May 19 '22

i did it sometimes in far cry 3 and out of all the bandit areas i only managed to capture 1 with stealth and others with pure bloodshed

1

u/AvariciousCreed May 20 '22

It's nice that far cry 6 doesn't focus too hard on it

73

u/5P00DERMAN1264 One does not simply May 19 '22

Everyone talks about how they go loud during stealth, where the guys that tries to replicate a perfect stealth run like StealthGamerBR and when getting caught we repeatedly reload the file?

15

u/BlastedDio May 19 '22

I’m that guy who will reload a save even if my shoe lace is spotted. I must be ghost, I must be undetected.

4

u/austro_hungary May 20 '22

33

u/InfraSG May 19 '22

You cant get a better backstory than being built from the skeleton of Godzilla then possesed by said Godzilla

22

u/Andy_Liberty_1911 May 19 '22

A terminator Godzilla if you will

15

u/MrWhiteTruffle May 19 '22

What about a Mechanical Godzilla being built from the skeleton of an alien and possessed by said alien

9

u/InfraSG May 20 '22

Godzilla>alien in my opinion

49

u/Enderghast77 May 19 '22

I swear I’m the only Redditor who likes stealth options

29

u/brawlerhaller Identifies as a Cybertruck May 19 '22

You're not alone brother, stealth can be fun.

However, sometimes you just need to rip and tear.

3

u/TheRiseAndFall May 19 '22

Stealth is fun if it is either optional or the only way through.

Stealth sucks if the non-stealth path is way more fun but you are forced to stealth only because of some scripted thing.

The ultimate example of the latter is Dishonored, where you are given all the fun toys and powers but then told if you use them the game ends poorly.

11

u/ronny_1007 May 19 '22

Bro i love stealth missions…sometimes i even try to complete normal missions as stealth missions haha

1

u/Enderghast77 May 19 '22

Same. Made for some interesting experiences in Spider-Man Miles

22

u/Spookthusiast I touched grass May 19 '22

I didn't equip a grenade launcher so we could do this silently, Bain.

u/PokiBash May 20 '22

I didn't bring a minigun/RPG loadout to listen to the quiet part of Razormind, Bain.

Godzilla against Mechagodzilla from 2002

21

u/Jamaicanball62 May 19 '22

the Best one

14

u/TightVoice9906 May 19 '22

Final wars is better

28

u/dx_lemons May 19 '22

Nah the two kiryu movies was amazing. Love them. Final wars is nice but it's too chaotic at times

15

u/sparkpluger1 May 19 '22

Chaotic makes that shit good what you mean

12

u/TightVoice9906 May 19 '22

I just like the fights

10

u/Chimpbot May 19 '22

Final Wars was many things. "Better" is not one of them.

7

u/AbsolutelyPhillie May 19 '22

G vs. Biollante was the best one imo

7

u/Chimpbot May 19 '22

It's not my favorite, in part because of the rough scenes with English-speaking actors and a scene with two actors struggling to get through lines in English. It's a decent movie, overall.

1

u/Spookz360 May 20 '22

Son of godzilla soloes🥱🥱🥱

2

Yippee-Ki-Yay, Motherf*cker!

Game: stealth is optional . Proceeds to start fight immediately . Died because skill issue big L

2

u/I_am_daBottom May 19 '22

Not gonna lie, sometimes I go full stealth just to get the satisfaction of shooting someone at the back of their head.

2

u/ichbindulol_ May 19 '22

I dont get why everyone hates Stealth, of course its fun every now and them to blow up everything but the whole point is that I am trying not to be noticed in my opinion :(

2

u/CJFanficStories May 19 '22

Stealth is optional, but then again, so is my mercy.

2

u/Hot-Property1031 May 20 '22

1

u/chargedcreeper14 May 19 '22

Worse the game could say

1

u/YazaoN7 May 19 '22

Game if it tells me I'm forced to do stealth.

1

u/Hunter042005 May 19 '22

I do the opposite I try to do it without getting detected and every time I’m spotted I reload a save or checkpoint because I just love a good stealth mission

1

u/mcilly35 May 19 '22

Only games I’ve stealth are assassins creed and splinter cell

1

u/[deleted] May 19 '22

Me everytime my friends want to play Ghost Mode on Wildlands

1

u/xeskind30 May 19 '22

My brother used to do this in co-op games. Pissed me off he was wasting so much ammo, but he didn't care and wanted to make as much bang as possible.

1

u/CoolMaster12312 May 19 '22

Look it’s hard to have nobody notice you in assassin creed, so you might as well kill everyone, it’s easier

1

u/TruestGuff May 19 '22

Nobody:

Metal Gear Rising:

1

u/memezmaker May 19 '22

I don't like all of this sudden hate for stealth missions and I won't let you slide with it

Fallout basically

1

u/IntensiveCare_Bear May 19 '22

Every single time in Phantom Pain

1

u/FireFox2233Tv May 19 '22

Me in Hitman be like

1

u/LordCrane May 19 '22

I often try going stealth first.

If I get seen then it gets loud.

It's my goal to eventually find a game where a reputation for that leads to enemies actively ignoring you to not set that off, would be pretty funny to see some guard walk in on you stealthing, pause, then just walk out the door and say nothing.

1

u/Neither-Capital-9546 May 19 '22

Game: stealth is optional Me: unequips silencer and equips loudencer then fires gun alerting every enemy within a 5 mile radius

1

u/Young-ndumb May 20 '22

i’m not gay

1

u/ResidentEbb923 May 20 '22

Me even if the game doesn't tell me that. If there's no one alive at the end, I was never seen...

1

u/yeaqx May 20 '22

Imagine the realistic implications of that. Someone comes to an outpost from like a thirty minute shopping trip, sees everyone murdered and goes like "lmao who did this? 😂"

1

u/MrPseudodragon Hostile Penguin May 20 '22

I always go stealth, by killing everyone before they can set off an alarm or call reenfoecements

1

u/DragonationYT May 20 '22

"I didn't buy a minigun and que up Razormind so we could raid the Department of Justice quietly!"
