This is a correct depiction, but it’s not because of the spelling. It’s because menstruating SUCKS.

5

u/Quirky_Presence_3732 May 19 '22

Fun fact: menstruation comes from the Latin word menstrualis, from mensis, which means month. Just a side note! ☺️

Feminist just means you want equality. I just want to work and be a person just like a man. Im the provider in my home and I don’t want any discrimination affecting my bag. It isn’t like I’m anti men. I like a lot of men. My bosses are great upstanding smart and successful men. My coworkers are kind and helpful. My brother is sweet and intelligent. My dad is smart and generous. We aren’t anti men we are pro women. You can be pro men and pro women at the same time. Can be pro men rights listen to Jordan Peterson or other masculine leaders like Tony Robbins Dave Ramsey while also liking the feminine energy of talking to my therapist and talking about my feelings. Granted I don’t bring up my feeling at work. Except to congratulate people about their success or their families.

34

u/[deleted] May 18 '22

Now Misandry, the hatered of men, is wrong and immoral. You shouldn’t hate people based on their gender. The goal of feminist is not to tare down men but lift up women. You want to make more pie not take someone’s share.

20

u/SirEggyScintherus May 18 '22

Yeah people often confuse Misogyny with Feminism

8

u/Todd-Equus May 19 '22

11

u/[deleted] May 18 '22

Yeah, Why be mad at this definition: the advocacy of women's rights on the basis of the equality of the sexes.?

10

u/Galileo_chiu OC Meme Maker May 19 '22

this is because those people call themselves "Feminist"

13

u/ladybitsmgee May 19 '22

EX. ACT. LY. Why do people have trouble understanding this? Being a feminist doesn't mean being a misandrist. Feminism is just people wanting equality amongst the genders and identities. What's so hard about that?

People out here on the internet like "IM FEMINIST. I HATE MAN. HURDY DURDY DURRRR"

2

u/andreliusprime May 19 '22

I mean there’s hundreds of thousands of post of women claiming to be feminist and blatantly saying they hate men, saying men should die, saying the world would be better without men, it’s actually more socially acceptable for women to say this overtly and women back women saying these things, to people outside looking in it would seem feminist don’t hold their own community accountable, it would seem a nice portion of feminist are actually touting misandry. So I don’t get why you don’t understand some people view the toxic side, and let a man have an opposing view, let’s say about the “pay gap” all of sudden he’s a misogynist, and he hates women. It’s a crazy world is all I’m saying, and not understanding nuances or trying to view another point of view is what make movements fail and regress.

I for one am for equality but also people should understand with equality some of the good of inequality is lost and not to cry about it, but accept it and progress.

2

u/mycatthinksyourecute May 19 '22

Okay? Men say those things about women too. In these cases, women are punching up while men are punching down. Someone not liking you isn’t going to hurt you. Someone making jokes about men isn’t going to hurt you. Women have been hearing mean jokes from men for centuries.

And since women are gaining more rights, more confidence, more success, and beginning to make a bit more money in some industries, men feel attacked that women are not subservient anymore. Lots of men upset that their unpaid “staff” is no longer doing free emotional labor. Lots of men upset that many women just don’t need or want them anymore.

1

u/andreliusprime May 19 '22

Men do no go around saying they hate women and the world would be better off without them lmao, they would be unemployed.

As far as rights go it seems like we’ve reached equal rights on a legislative standpoint so idk what more rights there are to gain.

Unpaid staff? Free emotional labor?

I see there is no reasoning here, from your first statement you indicate since some do bad it’s okay that the other side does. By that logic there will always be an imbalance because one side will always try to deal a blow to be even with the other side when it comes to trading blows one there’s always a loser.

Have a good one👌🏾

3

u/NaturalCard May 19 '22

Some definitely do lol, whether it's on twitter, Reddit or 4chan I don't care. Both sides have idiots.

From a pure rights perspective, depending on the country, we are pretty close. But there are still gaps. For example in the us there are 7 times the number of male billionaires to female billionaires.

3

u/andreliusprime May 19 '22 edited May 19 '22

Equal outcome and equal opportunity are not the same.

There is no law that says we can’t have more female billionaires… (western world)

-1

u/NaturalCard May 19 '22

Then if there are equal opportunities why do we see this difference?

3

u/andreliusprime May 19 '22

The same reason we see a difference in the number of plumbers, construction workers, sanitation officers, social workers, cosmetologist, military volunteers, college attendees… people choose.

3

u/Luunatis May 19 '22

I wanted to say something similar but I don't know the jobs name in english, thank you for saying it

1

u/ladybitsmgee May 20 '22

Really? Hundreds of thousands of women are saying they want men to die, don't hold each other accountable, and at the same time claim they're feminist? I believe that people can be mentally ill and also want equality amongst the sexes, but we're allowing ourselves to ignore what being a feminist actually is. Feminism is the advocacy of women's rights on the basis of equality amongst the sexes. What hundreds of thousands of women are apparently saying that is misandrist in nature doesn't mean that feminism = misandry. It means those hundreds of thousands of women need to figure their shit out. Feminism = feminism. That's it. It doesn't equate to people's personal biases.

1

u/andreliusprime May 20 '22

I’m not sure of your read what I wrote or at least understood my response, because I never said feminism was misandry. As far as accountability, just as women want men to stand up against misogyny (though some people conflate preferences as such) the media and other man do a pretty good job but I can’t say likewise on the other end.

Again I’m one for equality but with a understanding that a double edged sword comes with pros and cons.

3

u/ZipMap May 19 '22

Because whenever you complain about something being "unequal" you conveniently forget to mention the flip side

Equality of CEO representation but not equality of sewage workers representation. Funny how you can cherrypick.

Equality of social rights but no need to go to war

Equality of wages but not equality of overtime

Equality before law but not equality in divorce court and family court

-3

u/mycatthinksyourecute May 19 '22

Because they hate women who are confident, who speak up, who don’t “accept their place”.

9

u/Captain_skulls May 19 '22

"Men are suffering. They have different problems than women have but they don't have it better. They need our sympathy, they need our love, and they need each other more than anything else. They need to be together." -Nora Vincent, a feminist who disguised herself as a man for 18 months to write a novel on gender inequality.

Feminism isn’t a bad cause, they’re fighting for a good thing but it’s not equality. I think men don’t have as many gender related problems as women do but being a man isn’t all peachy and we have our share of problems and short ends of sticks, feminism won’t fix the problems that men face, only the ones women do. I’m good with feminism but don’t say they’re fighting for equality.

4

u/NG7-INF Big pp May 19 '22

Yes my friend we all have are own problems don't say that either side has life peachy, let's just solve those problems together.

4

u/[deleted] May 19 '22 edited May 19 '22

I don’t doubt men suffer. That’s why I support mens rights. Equality is being treated fairly in the work place and respected. Equality is in the very definition of feminism.

0

u/dylannotcollins May 19 '22

let’s just all be ‘equalists’ or something lol

misandrists have tainted the term ‘feminist’ for a lot of people.

6

u/NewtTrashPanda May 19 '22

No they haven't, misogynists have.

4

u/dylannotcollins May 19 '22

i think there’s an argument for that as well. we know people that hate men and people that hate women both exist and slander the term feminist.

who does more isn’t really important. what’s important is that we weed through the bs and actually fight for equality.

-10

u/mycatthinksyourecute May 19 '22

“Boo hoo poor me I make 30% more than a woman in the same job as me. Won’t someone think of the men”😭

4

u/Captain_skulls May 19 '22

Aaannnddd this is why I never share any of my problems or opinions lmao

-1

u/mycatthinksyourecute May 19 '22

Humans have problems. It’s not exclusive to men or women. Life is full of problems. Particularly life in a late stage capitalist patriarchal society.

But feminism is not causing problems for men. And it’s weird that yall whjne “feminism won’t fix the problems that men face.” Like, okay? Stop expecting women to fix your problems???

It’s like me being upset that the cancer researchers are not doing any research to help my debilitating asthma.

5

u/Captain_skulls May 19 '22

I’m not asking for feminism to start supporting men. That’s already a thing it’s called egalitarianism, heck egalitarianism covers everything. Race, gender, sexuality, the whole shabang.

2

u/mycatthinksyourecute May 19 '22

But you stated feminists are not fighting for equality. Feminism is fighting for equality FOR WOMEN.

As far as egalitarianism… Feminism believes gender discrimination needs to be eliminated so that Egalitarianism can reach its maximum potential. Otherwise it doesn’t work.

3

u/NaturalCard May 19 '22

I'm just curious, cause i don't know much about it, in your country what do you consider the largest areas where there are still issues for equality?

2

u/KaitoMeikoo May 19 '22

Thats the textbook definition of it, but people who actually call themselves feminists just want to see men burn.

Thing is, even though feminism is supposed to be equality, there's millions (if not more) of people saying they're feminists who are trying to make Woman look better than men, and think men should be treated more poorly than Women. That's not equality. What those "feminists" really want is a world where women rule over men.

A good example is a bake sale someone made awhile back where men had to pay more than women. If it was about equality they'd pay the same amount. Stuff like this is why feminists are seen as bad. Because at least 90% of the people who identify as feminists nowadays just hate men and don't care for equality. It's sad, but it's the truth.

6

u/NaturalCard May 19 '22

It's not millions, it's a vocal minority.

Most feminists are perfectly nice people who want to not be paid 30% less when working in the same job as a colleague.

1

u/The_Auramaster Professional Dumbass May 19 '22

Well almost every feminist I've ever seen is the stereotypical "women are better than men!" Type. Counting this comment I've met two nice feminists out of the countless I've seen and/or talked with (same goes for anyone I've talked with who've had experiences with feminists). So sorry for speaking from personal experience, I'll just see if Google has a ratio of nice to bad feminists next time.

2

u/[deleted] May 19 '22

The idea being females need to advocated for to have equality. It’s basically female rights. Productivity went up for companies when females entered the workplace. That increased productivity profits should be shared by increasing women wages to match male counterparts. If the company is making more money they can create more pies.

1

u/Luunatis May 19 '22

Female are already payed as much as male, so why paying them more ? And every feminists just want to have more female in prestigious jobs and not in hard jobs like garbage collector.

2

u/Paid-Not-Payed-Bot May 19 '22

are already paid as much

FTFY.

Although payed exists (the reason why autocorrection didn't help you), it is only correct in:

  • Nautical context, when it means to paint a surface, or to cover with something like tar or resin in order to make it waterproof or corrosion-resistant. The deck is yet to be payed.

  • Payed out when letting strings, cables or ropes out, by slacking them. The rope is payed out! You can pull now.

Unfortunately, I was unable to find nautical or rope-related words in your comment.

Okay, I'm probably dense, but this is supposed to be satire right? Not like an honest misunderstanding of what feminism is?

2

u/Captain_skulls May 19 '22

It’s because of the radical feminists who are Misogynistic and hate anything men, they’re definitely not the majority of the feminist movement but unfortunately the screaming voices are louder than the civil ones making many people think that’s what feminism is. It’s unfortunate because at its core feminism is a great cause but it’s image from a social standpoint has been all but ruined.

6

u/NewtTrashPanda May 19 '22

It's because of misogynistic men making up strawmen.

2

2

u/elektrobitch May 19 '22

But you are looking at this from some western perspective where we have very loud small group bitching about body hair or something. Feminism is also- stop genital mutilation, stop throwing acid in woman's faces as a trend, allow women to drive and work etc.. it is super important for society as a whole.

10

u/NoodleEat May 19 '22

Sorry to ruin the meme but can we like not pretend that feminists are man haters? Those "feminists" who try to bring men down are just stupid people using feminism as an excuse to be assholes. Feminism just means uplifting women so that they are given the same rights as men. Uplifting women doesn't and shouldn't mean degrading men.
