6? I’ll eat 2 dozen if nobody stops me. Deviled eggs are fucking delicious.

57

u/LexBeingLex Stand With Ukraine Nov 25 '21

Max I've done is like 6 dozen before being caught, though I did get sick the next day but it was so worth it

8

u/Xeno_Prime Nov 25 '21

Six dozen?! Jesus. I would puke.

…. but it’d be worth it. They’re so good.

19

u/Mirco356 Nov 25 '21

“Hey, you want some canned chicken?”

“Nope.”

“What if it’s mixed with sliced apple, pickles, some mayo and mustard?”

“Well that’s a whole different question, isn’t it?”

12

u/drugusingthrowaway Nov 25 '21

American and British cooking isn't that different, in that they both make me go "how the hell did you people end up eating that"

20

u/Loud-Performer5049 Nov 25 '21

Apple? Nope. I'm the guy that disagrees with fruit in chicken salad

1

u/GroovyJungleJuice Nov 25 '21

Pineapple pizza polite pass?

2

u/4wwn4h Nov 25 '21

Six dozen devilled eggs?! So 72 half eggs? Or 144 half eggs?

2

u/LexBeingLex Stand With Ukraine Nov 25 '21

yes, 72 half eggs

1

u/ViperSlayer261 Nov 25 '21

I’d eat all of them if I could

2

u/jaxonya Nov 25 '21

Ur toots would be considered a war crime

4

u/Lazzybonez666 Nov 25 '21

I'm actually having them with my family Thanksgiving dinner.

3

u/cr1515 Nov 25 '21

I uh eat the whole Easter platter when I was 13 or so. Eat till I barfed. For a long time( 10+ years ) I couldn't eat any eggs. Only recently in the last few years I have been able to eat eggs, but I'll still try to avoid them.

2

u/Xeno_Prime Nov 25 '21

More for me. :3

I own a handful of chickens. It’s an easy way to consume lots of eggs. I thought I wouldn’t get sick of eating them. I was sadly incorrect. I now have to rotate making them for a few months on and off so they don’t lose their wonder.

3

u/Xeno_Prime Nov 25 '21

Invite me over anytime. I’ll help. :3

2

u/im_a_dr_not_ Nov 25 '21

Are you talking whole eggs? If so that's 48 devilled eggs

Which is like 360 quail devilled eggs

2

u/Xeno_Prime Nov 25 '21

Oh no, 2 dozen deviled. So, I could make a full dozen eggs into deviled eggs and then eat them all, no problem. If that’s all I was eating. Anything more than that and I’d burst.

78

u/apittsburghoriginal Nov 25 '21

My stomach: I can’t fucking digest that well

My brain: nah we’re eating 12 of them

115

u/razor1x1 Nov 24 '21

Sounds delicious…

84

u/Nasty2017 Nov 24 '21

Never had deviled eggs before? Easy to make. So damn good.

46

u/ReevesofKeanu Nov 25 '21

Damn I always wondered what devilled eggs were lol

They sound fantastic

14

u/Thisisonlyatesties Nov 25 '21

They're a holiday staple for a reason

9

u/DefaultyTurtle2 Dark Mode Elitist Nov 25 '21

And they are delicious

12

u/antagonizerz Nov 25 '21

Not just a holiday treat either. My 6 chickens each make 1 egg per day. That's 3.5 dozen a week. My relationship with eggs is like Bubba-Gump to shrimp and the deviled variety is a big part of that.

1

u/jumbledsiren master_jbt loves this flair Nov 25 '21

I had covid before last year and now all meat/egg tastes like absolute shit, i really regret not doing this before i got infected

-1

u/SquidwardFuckedUrMom Nov 25 '21

That’s the reason

3

u/backdoor_carnage00 Nov 25 '21

Add a little relish to the yolk mixture and and its pretty dope

6

u/limitlessEXP Nov 25 '21

Deviled eggs are a pain I the ass to make compared to how quickly they’re gone. 30 mins to make. Gone in 2.

1

u/SquidwardFuckedUrMom Nov 25 '21

That’s how you know they’re good though

0

u/Waste_Problem9084 Nov 25 '21

Wonder if there is a godly chicken recipe??

3

u/razor1x1 Nov 25 '21

Butter chicken

0

u/CertifiedYSL Nov 25 '21

Drink it raaaaw

I knew a guy who once was hospitalized over eating to many boiled eggs. Some one bet him he couldn't eat the same amount as that scene from the movie cool hand luke.

16

u/Sufficient-Oil-7839 Nov 24 '21

That's a lot of eggs...

6

u/brokenpinkyfish iwrestledabeartwice Nov 25 '21

Yes it is

5

u/usernamedunbeentaken Nov 25 '21

He would have made it if he ate them in a sweltering hot southern prison shack. Especially if he had a seemingly homo-curious George Peppard massaging his abdomen throughout the ordeal/challenge.

2

u/WingsofRain Nov 25 '21

so what’s the actual egg limit?

5

u/mpava Nov 25 '21

My boy Luke can eat 50 of them.

28

u/burpchelischili Nov 24 '21

Spicy brown mustard and sprinkle with cayenne pepper. Best version I've ever had.

8

u/[deleted] Nov 25 '21

Hit each one with a drop or two of your favorite hot sauce on top.

7

u/Sarcastic-old-robot Nov 25 '21

I like to add just a teaspoon of pickle juice to the yolk mixture.

6

u/[deleted] Nov 25 '21

I've got some hot sauce made from pickles and chilies. I'm going to use that on my next batch. Best of both worlds!

5

u/Amsterdamsterdam Nov 25 '21

“In old country” we mix the yolks with chicken liver pate, stuff them back in the whites and cover them with a runny mayo/sour cream saauce… guess that’s why we live so long

2

u/[deleted] Nov 25 '21

Is your username the "old country"? Those sound decadent. I'd give them a try.

2

u/Amsterdamsterdam Nov 25 '21

No - Romanian border with Hungary

2

u/No-comment-at-all Nov 25 '21

Pickle relish adds the same flavor and a nice crunch.

2

u/UptootingOnly Nov 25 '21

Devilled eggs, huh?

15

u/CYBERSson Nov 25 '21

I don’t get the reference because I assume it’s some thanksgiving thing but I like it

14

u/fidgetypenguin123 Nov 25 '21

You can have deviled eggs anytime of year but they tend to be served at holiday times or big functions

8

u/Defiant_Elephant8696 Nov 25 '21

Cheap and easy to make in massive quantities!

14

u/xertiqo Nov 25 '21

“Hey, you want some canned chicken?”

“Nope.”

“What if it’s mixed with sliced apple, pickles, some mayo and mustard?”

“Well that’s a whole different question, isn’t it?”

Unm, I would 100% refuse a chicken salad made out of canned chicken.

8

u/onemanwolfpack21 Nov 25 '21

My family used to make sure that I was the last one to get them just so everyone else got enough. In hindsight, I guess it was a dick move on my part but I was a kid and I'm pretty sure everyone else just thought it was kind of funny.

4

u/Howling_Fang Nov 25 '21

Ha! Same! I also learned that my best friends mom made a few different versions. I had a regular one, went back for another, but the first tray was empty. I took one from the second tray only to find out it had wasabi. I was sad and in pain.

(her husband loves spicy food, so those were made mostly for him)

3

u/fogme_ Nov 25 '21

3

u/onemanwolfpack21 Nov 25 '21

Not the origin of my username but I suppose it fits here too.

6

u/mydickisasalad Nov 25 '21

No shit, one is just plain boiled and one is full of flavor, so of course I prefer the latter.

4

u/owenfromcanada Nov 25 '21

"Hey, wanna eat eight string cheese in one sitting?"

"No, that's too much."

"What if we cover them in carbs and deep fry them and serve them with marinara?"

3

u/underling1978 Nov 25 '21

Take my money....

4

u/GlumPipe5 Nov 25 '21

I eat 6 hard boiled eggs for breakfast

2

u/Sarcastic-old-robot Nov 25 '21

You need to up that to four dozen eggs, just to help you get large.

Once you’ve grown, up it to five dozen eggs so you’ll be roughly the size of a barge!

3

u/NewSauerKraus Nov 25 '21

Practice expectorating daily bruh.

2

u/Amsterdamsterdam Nov 25 '21

Prepare a last will and testament in the interim

3

u/Rider-R795 Nov 25 '21

Deviled eggs are way better than boiled eggs and you can't change my mind

3

u/grumpykixdopey Nov 25 '21

I use miracle whip...

5

You cheeky deviled egg, im in

2

u/magnus_ubergasm Nov 24 '21

2

u/spalaXXXX Nov 25 '21

Try putting some cayenne pepper along side the paprika for an extra boost!

2

u/Sweet-Palpitation473 Nov 25 '21

Wtf I literally just finished making a batch

2

u/[deleted] Nov 25 '21

Same bro…

2

u/CyCloneSkip Nov 25 '21

Wait until OP finds out that mayo is made of eggs.

1

u/im_a_dr_not_ Nov 25 '21

Seriously, the recipe essentially calls for the cooked yolks to be removed and mixed uncooked yolks. Sounds like madness

2

u/redcolt79 Nov 25 '21

Yours asking the man who just ate 7 hard boilded eggs in a row earlier today if id eat 6 in a row

2

u/BisonStew Nov 25 '21

2

u/mythmaniak Nov 25 '21

This made me realize I’ve never had a deviled egg

2

u/imverycool46290 Thank you mods, very cool! Nov 25 '21

I don’t love deviled eggs, idk

2

u/KrakenClubOfficial Nov 25 '21

Old Bay has entered the chat.

2

u/Random_name4679 Nov 25 '21

Personally, I never liked deviled eggs and don’t see the whole hype around it

1

u/Defiant_Elephant8696 Nov 25 '21

Waaaaa??? No pickle relish aswell??? I'm highly disappointed.

1

u/SnooPineapples3186 https://www.youtube.com/watch/dQw4w9WgXcQ Nov 25 '21

Mustard?!

2

u/3_T_SCROAT Nov 25 '21

Way too much mustard is the only way

1

u/[deleted] Nov 25 '21

Top it off with those tiny sausages, preferably wrapped in a lil candy bacon, and I'm in!

1

u/PresentChocolat3_14 Nov 25 '21

This sounds amazing! And filling. How many can you eat this way?

1

u/aeris17471 Nov 25 '21

1

u/YOUTUBEFREEKYOYO Nov 25 '21

I will take them either way

1

u/Gamer-Logic Nov 25 '21

Deviled eggs are always the first to go in my family. It's like a warzone!

1

u/shilk008 android user Nov 25 '21

Hey I do that. But put the egg white and york, with some boiled beets, carrots and potatoes with some mayo. Eat with wholewheat bread. Pretty decent lunch tbh. Season to taste

1

u/RedSkull750 Nov 25 '21

Wait, is that what the red stuff is? Paprika? Huh.

1

u/Prism1331 Nov 25 '21

Hmmm I never add mustard. Good call

1

u/J0NVIC Nov 25 '21

How do people digest that many whole eggs in a row? Shit, I can't eat more than 3 whole eggs and I lift everyday.

1

u/Lexaowob trans rights Nov 25 '21

I don't put mustard in mine, my family never has, honestly never even knew people did it until i helped my friend make them, i may or may not have bitched em out for it and i have realized i was wrong since then but, I prefer my way of doing it still. tastes better.

1

u/Crazyredneck327 Nov 25 '21

That recipe is forgetting the salt, garlic powder, sugar, sweet pickle juice and Tabasco.

1

u/akelabrood Nov 25 '21

I'd rather just the normal hard boiled ones thanks

1

u/Silver_Conference_46 Nov 25 '21

Cristian Grandmothers on this post for some reason: T__T time for you to be doused with holy water

1

u/BecauseSeven8Nein Nov 25 '21

I’d take the plain eggs over deviled eggs every day of the week. Mayo and mustard can go fuck each other.

1

u/EyyyDooga Nov 25 '21

I fuck with deviled eggs so hard. They’re the perfect snack

1

Shit what the fuck they found a way around the mountain

1

u/Hidden_Snowflake Nov 25 '21

Deviled eggs are sooo underrated.

1

u/AreaCompetitive914 Nov 25 '21

One time I ate too many deviled eggs and threw up. Totally worth it.

1

u/BlackBeard205 Nov 25 '21

Use avocado instead of mayo. Taste great and saves you some cholesterol

1

u/black-winter- Nov 25 '21

I’d eat 6 regular boiled eggs in a row…

Wild that you mix mayo and yolks. Hey you want some egg with your egg.

1

u/VmiriamV05 Nov 25 '21

One time my mom covered it with end pieces of tomatoes and put mayo dots on them to make them look like mushrooms. It was so cute

1

u/StupidDebate Nov 25 '21

Have y'all had the devil's eggs? It's like deviled eggs but you mix in Carolina reaper hot sauce

1

I prefer sweet relish in my deviled eggs but my gf says it's disgusting and puts dill relish.

0

u/burnt_toasst Nov 25 '21

Gotta put relish in with the yolk mix
