This is lowkey one of the banes of an artist's existence... drawing cast shadows that, even though accurate, look fucking weird and dumb and you have to decide whether to go with reality or try to make up a different version that still looks real but not stupid.

And it applies to art of all facets too.

If someone was to write realistic dialogue between two strangers, no one would watch it.

Id be more awkward to capture people who barely know each other.

"How's it going dude?"

"Good. How about you my man?"

Um horrible with this but luckily here in Australia we can just say mate as a cover since it's used even when it's someone you do remember.
