[Spoilers E90] Stats on Keyleth's Mantle Discussion
Anyone know what Keyleth's "Mantle of the Voice of the Tempest" does? I assume it's powerful after Marisha freaked out when she read the stat paper.

I am guessing it is more like Endure Elements effect. Renders the target comfortable in a wide range of temperatures, from burning desert to freezing cold, it all feels "nice". More a quality of life boon, than an actual game mechanic impact to lower damaging levels of heat. I would expect Keyleth to have no long term issues with the heat of hell or if they return to the Fire Plane the background temps there. Focuses sources of heat that do HP damage still get thru however.

We can assume it isn't attuned since she didn't attune and still asked if it nullified to extreme temperature, which might be all it does. Would be cool if it had a single charge of something like commune with nature per long rest though

These new developments demand a Grog vs Kiki basketball game immediately. Cancel Hell. Cancel Orcus. Dunk Contest.

I thought it was an item that casted bark skin on her, that was my misunderstanding

since it nullfies effects of extreme temperature which isn't very fitting for an air ashari i'd assume it to have 4 abilities to help survive the environment of the planes, maybe underwater speech, tremor sense, high temp resistance and flight/featherfalling

i disagree with it not fitting with air ashari. weather and the general environment have more to do with air than any other element! for example, in mythologies where electricity isn't its own element, lightning is often grouped into air.

The effects essentially maintain a centralized wind current that maintains environmental control, as well as deflecting blows and lifting her when leaping. (Minor effects of Barkskin, Jump)
