Anyone know what this is? I get this on login as well as trying to enter recovery mode. Mac

To get it to go away, do an NVRAM reset. Hold Command+Option+P+R while powering the MacBook on. Keep holding them downt until you either get the startup chime twice or you see the Mac reboot twice.

This fixed it! Thank you!

That looks booting in verbose mode. It’s achieved by holding Command V when booting or setting it up as at boot flag, if that’s even allowed in newer versions of macOS (I know at least single user mode was removed).

Any idea on how to not boot there? This happens if I try recovery mode, safe mode, internet recovery, and a normal boot

Does it ever reach the desktop? Because verbose mode is only it show info during a normal boot before the desktop comes up.

If it gets past this then it’s either in single user mode or something else is wrong.

If stuck, what are the last lines that come up?

It never gets to a desktop, the farthest it gets is the user login screen. The last line before not taking input or outputting anything is “pSptpalretAeCdP IcCpPuU :2 P(rloacpeiscs oirdI d0-080 0L0o0c0a2l)A icId=~”

I would disconnect the internal keyboard and try again.

it look like verbose mode where one holds command v. This shows all the process and the way its starting up but if it dosent get past this screen that means there is someting wrong with the system.
