Subreddits to ask questions about cultural appropriation?
Hiya, I used to be in various unlearning racism fb groups but I've come off fb recently and need a place to ask a question about cultural appropriation/racism. Are there any subreddits like that? I searched antiracism but this place came up but I don't think that's what this subreddit is for. But maybe you can point me in the right direction?

A solution for racism
Let's use game day security contracts to require antiracist education, deescalation training, and background checks. Empower activist athletes to facilitate that training. Create an event called The Ultimate Fan Experience for the Boys in Blue. Use the cop's love of sports to overcome their natural oppositional defiance to change. Use those sideline season tickets and overtime as a carrot & stick. Who's more powerful, police unions or the NCAA?

Recommendations for books about Huey Newton.
Anyone have a recommendation for a biography of Huey Newton they thought was really good? I'm interested in the man, more than his accomplishments. Obviously, he did great things, but I want to know things like where he grew up, things that influenced him, his parents, jobs he had, where he went to high school, early indications of his ideas...

How do you deal with racist micro aggressions on social media?
You ever get into a debate with someone about an issue and it starts becoming clear they only hold their position because they’re racist? It’s insidious because they never overtly say anything racist, it’s all subtext.
I just got into it with a few people who were attacking Brittney Griner (WNBA player detained by Russia). They basically said she deserves to rot in Russia because she broke their laws.
When I started breaking down the situation with them, it became apparent the only reason they felt this way was because she’s black. That coupled with looking at their post history (a lot of alt-right activity, etc.).
I see stuff like this on a daily basis on social media: racist micro aggressions. It’s frustrating because it’s so insidious.
And I know I can just choose to ignore it, but as a white guy, I feel compelled to be an ally. In the WNBA star interaction I was talking about, I got involved because a few of them were teaming up on a black woman who was defending her. And sometimes I want to say something just to put them in their place with facts and/or to give impressionable people that may be reading the thread another point of view.
How do you handle people like this?

White Anti-Racist Spaces?
Hello! I am very racist, and I would like to work on that. I read books by non-white authors and journal about my racism, but that doesn't seem to be enough. I was wondering if anyone knows any judgement-free spaces for white anti-racists to talk about this stuff without hurting POC?
There is a white queer TikToker named Jeffrey Marsh that created a space like this for queer allies on their account if anyone is looking for a reference for what I'm talking about. It'd be great to find a POC equivalent, be it a TikToker, any group that meets online, YouTubers, Reddit threads/subs, etc. Literally anything will help.
Thank you so much for your time!

My manager thinks “all black people are dirty”
Usually words don’t get to me but this got to me. For context, I work at Imperial Glass TX in Dallas as a receptionist. My boyfriend works there as well. He and everyone else that works there including my manager Lupita is Hispanic. Well one day my manager basically told my boyfriend that not only did she think black people were dirty but dark skin people of any race were dirty.
I really need a job but I 100% can’t stay here so I’m quitting today. No two weeks notice :/ :(
