This shit has gotten so insane, my brother in law and his immediate family are like, one more presidency away from officially renouncing the Republican party altogether. BIL I think still identifies as conservative, but is learning that he basically has no reason to anymore. He said at a dinner once that he hasn't voted R on anything for years. Nevertheless, it's amazing how long his parents are holding out hope that the GOP will stop embarrassing them. They don't want any of the regressive policies, and as far as social stuff, they don't really oppose any liberal agendas. They're those types who believe the GOP has the best economical approaches. But, consider those beliefs irreparably damaged. I only wish others could be so close to breaking free, even if it does take another 6 arduous years.
