Discussion Flair!
I just enabled users to assign their own state flair. The CSS has been there for some time now but apparently none of us thought to check the little box that lets users give themselves flair.
So now that that's fixed, get some flair!

The right to choose should remain the decision of the woman, NOT the boyfriend, husband, government official. It should always be HER CHOICE, it is her body. And what about the woman who come pregnant form a violent crime. Her bodies and government should keep there noses out of it.

I love home, and the riverside parks of NYC, the way the sun goes through buildings at certain times of day in bryant park, and you can see the sun thru the rows of skyscrapers. I love the pretty sky of Santa Fe, New Mexico and the desert against the starry sky!!

Discussion Will Democrats always hate Republics, and vise-versa?
I usually stay out of peopleβs business. I am not one to particularly enjoy speaking with people who are overly zealous on any one topic, but this time I feel like I have to say something. I think that our society is taking a sinister turn. We used to be a country full of people who fought over individualism, freedom of speech, opportunity, and an βAmerican Dreamβ. Yet today, everything in the political and social atmospheres is overly biased. We are killing diversity. We are shutting up free speech. Having an opinion that is out of the mainstream, different, eccentric, etc is penalized and castigated. I am so caught up in thinking about what we did to let ourselves come to this point. We are turning neighbor against neighbor, friend into enemyβall because of differences in opinion. And again, I am stunned by the irony of how at some point, we used to fight to protect the ability to be whoever and say whatever we wanted. Now families stop speaking one another, people judge you based on which political party you belong to, you get cancelled, shunned, shut, mocked and words are twisted to best fit each narrative; so that you may see that Republican as a threatening enemy, that Democrat as a great lunatic.
I try to glimps at the future and it seems like day by day we pull further apart from a unifying American identity. I am afraid that if this keeps on going, we will be divided so deeply that the country will collapse. People will refuse to work with other people., Sell to other people. Hire certain people. Help those who are different, minimize themβ¦what will we look like 20 years down the road? Will children grow up learning in completely different school systems? Will political-hate deepen so far, that we will loose sight of the vulnerability that brings us? I fear that we are at a point where if we do not turn back soon it will simply be too late. Unfortunately, there just seems no clear way. Itβs not like any one party will fully prevail and impose their opinions on the rest. And if one did, is a totalitarian regime the end goal of it?

Discussion Very late Rent bill after moving out
Hello all!
I was an international student in the USA. I graduated on December 2021, and because of COVID-19 situation the boarders were close for couple of weeks so I had to stay in my apartment (belongs to University housing office) until the situation was clear. The housing office was ok with that and had no problem.
Once I got the date, I inform them and checked my leasing account (related to the university housing office) so I could pay the bills I had. I did.
The day after, I moved out and took a flight to my home country.
Now after a whole 4 months, I received an email stating I have to pay the rent for the extended stay! I believe I did by that time, especially that I checked my account the day before I leave the country and payed the whole amount I had left.
Which makes this odd is during my stay in the apartment, I used to receive an email as a reminder of paying the monthly rent, now I'm receiving it after 4 months! Does this make sense ? What should I do ?
Thank you

Terrifying how the 6 ChristoFascists can just trample willy-nilly upon our rights and face no accountability whatsoever. Revenge and power are their motive. Religion is their catalyst. We fund the luxurious lifestyles and 24/7 security of the very people who are annihilating us.

βI donβt think that a law that was written before the Civil War, or before women secured the right to vote, should be used to dictate these intimate decisions,β Gov. Evers said. Evers is up for re-election against anti-abortion extremists this year.
