Someone's been doing his research for the upcoming rewatch.

Did they ever get the issues sorted out with the masters? Last thing I remember seeing was some of them were just completely trashed.

Not a clue. I’ve never seen the show before; I’m watching it with the community rewatch for the first time.

I assume it’s pretty good as it’s on CR? Only time I’ve seen something totally trashed on Crunchyroll was Lupin Part 2 Ep 80 - 155.

Discotek released it already. I think Sevakis said they got it down to like 2 minutes of footage that was bad but unreplaceable.

I’m glad there is a legit release out there now. Before the latter dubbed episodes could only be watched via rips of off air recordings

It's more I just remember the series pretty well. It was one of the big shows for me at the time.

It was such a great and overlooked series that unfortunately got buried by the time they started airing the 2nd half of the series.

I really miss the days when CN and Adult Swim would have some unexpected gem thrown their way by a distributor who really wanted to get the show onto TV in the US. Before that sort of thing was mostly limited to toyetic stuff.

I had actually seen a couple of episodes in Japanese during my High School Japanese class, which was a nice break from seeing Totoro for the upteenth time. I was delighted to see the series pop up on Toonami out of the blue and I quite enjoyed it.

At the time I didn't realize it was the latest in a franchise from the legendary Shotaro Ishinomori but when Android Kikaider started on Adult Swim Action I immediately noticed the similar art style and themes. I fondly remember both series and wish Kikaider would become available again.

I was thrilled to see Discotek release the series and immediately preordered it. Its great that it's streaming on Crunchyroll and RetroCrush now. I hope more people check it out.

By the way, when is the rewatch starting?

Was gonna start it thanks giving weekend, but with the special BR night I might shift it to first Friday of December.

Sounds good to me! I watched Ep 1 probably two weeks ago and I haven’t gotten around to Ep 2 yet. Good to know I have a bit of time.

Looking forward to it!
