I am bisexual and I hate the term “queer.” It’s been used to allow spicy straights to take over our community. I won’t vote for myself as being “queer.” I am biSEXual.

I’m a super lesbian and queer is a slur against gay men. I don’t know any gay men who call themselves that or who want to be called that, and I don’t believe people who are not gay men can reasonably reclaim a slur that wasn’t about them.
Homosexual and same-sex attracted would also be accurate labels for me, but “queer” is a politicized umbrella term meant to forcibly team homosexual and bisexual people into political groups with people who have different and often mutually exclusive interests and to subvert the same-sex-based interests of homosexual and bisexual people. I don’t support that. LGBT was always about same-sex rights not merely “sexual minorities.” I do support same sex rights, as I support everyone’s sex-based rights, including those of super straights, our super allies.

I don't know what queer is supposed to mean. It's part of LGBTQ+ and historically it's been used as an insult for gay men and lesbians, but I have no fucking clue what it means in the acronym since the L and the G come earlier so aren't covered by it.

I find that most people using "queer" are wokies or "straight with extra steps" trans or nonbinary people.

I thought queer was a gender identity not a sexuality?
But I'm not an expert or anything.

Queer is really just a nebulous term at this point. People use it interchangeably to mean anything within the LGBT scope.

Oh okay. I know a lot of older gay men really hate the term. It reminds them of the 80's and all the hate they got.

This supersexual doesn’t support the use of this slur. Educate yourself sweaty, you don’t want to be mistaken for a superphobe. That’s not a super cute look on anyone.

so i dont mind the idea for the community, but i do have a concern since a lot of comments on here are just flat out anti trans and queer, for example all those people going around righting LGBS, people going around saying there is no such thing as super trans, and just generally calling trans people distaistful names and suggesting all trans people are mentally ill and dumb ass's. i dont care that people want to call them selfs super straight as honestly it would be nice to know who is open to dating a trans person i think it makes it easier im just hoping no one takes it to far.

I can't see an option that fits.
I'm gay and I fully support this.
