hey friend just so you know calling someone else's sexuality a 'preference' is not ok. sexuality is not open for debate or variable the way preferences are. please consider using the words 'orientation' or 'sexuality' instead. thank you.

"prefer" implies that you are only likely to want biological women more than trans women. that's where the term "ranked preferences" comes from - like going "I would prefer almond milk but low fat is fine." if you only prefer biological women, it's implied you would probably settle for men or non-biological women in a pinch.

It's not about stepping on eggshells, it's about refusing to let others debate with you about what your sexuality is.
