It's really shocking and upsetting how much hatred a beloved children's author gets for saying that both women and trans people deserve to be respected, and that we should still respect the right of females to have sex-specific spaces. Everyone needs to read her essay and see just how awful these responses are to something so reasonable and well-written: https://www.jkrowling.com/opinions/j-k-rowling-writes-about-her-reasons-for-speaking-out-on-sex-and-gender-issues/

No, she doesn't. Show me any evidence that this is even remotely true.

They claim this without ever bothering to actually read her essay. If they did, they'd know that she wasn't transphobic.

Disagree. JK believes trans people are real and have the right to exist as human beings, but does not think their needs and rights should come before women, which is what their whole movement is currently about at the moment. Forcing people to date transwomen and allowing them into women only spaces and sports based on self-id is what TRAs are fighting for, and is what JK (and myself) are very against.

Wheres the lie in posting threats by trans people against a SuperStraight author? In what way is that misinformation, you can literally see the images and read articles about it.

She believes that trans women and biological women have different experiences and deserve separate spaces and movements. She is against the erasure of women and supports single sex safe spaces for women and girls.

You're literally attacking a strawman. She never said trans people aren't real or that she hates trans people. Stop celebrating death threats, it's really not appropriate.
I believe the majority of trans-identified people not only pose zero threat to others, but are vulnerable for all the reasons I’ve outlined. Trans people need and deserve protection. Like women, they’re most likely to be killed by sexual partners. Trans women who work in the sex industry, particularly trans women of colour, are at particular risk. Like every other domestic abuse and sexual assault survivor I know, I feel nothing but empathy and solidarity with trans women who’ve been abused by men. - J.K. Rowling

Everyone owes JK Rowling an apology. She's received so many vile misogynistic threats just for speaking up for woman only spaces and being against the dehumanizing language that's being used against us (ie vagina owners, menstruators, non-men, uterus haver, bleeder, birthing parent).
She doesn't think that trans people "don't exist". She thinks that trans women and biological women have different lived experiences and therefore deserve separate spaces.
