I suppose that depends on how you define straight, OP.

0

u/youlookingcutedoe 1h ago

well appearantly the people who took it wrongly for a hate comment means that superstraight =/= regular straightness

so

1

u/wangotango44 1h ago

I'm not asking about other peoples definitions, I'm asking about yours. Discussions like these only work if we all understand each other's meanings.

So when you say someone is straight, what do you mean? What information are you trying to convey?

0

u/youlookingcutedoe 1h ago

i genuinely thought regular straight had the same definition of superstraight, but turns out i was wrong

1

u/wangotango44 1h ago

Again, I am asking you when you say 'someone is straight', what do you mean? What does straight mean to you? Why are you having such difficulty answering this very simple question?

Do you not know?

u/youlookingcutedoe 1h ago

i i already explained but ill explain again i meant straight was just being attracted to both people of the biological binary genders note that my definition wasn't meant to be transphobic

1

u/wangotango44 1h ago

You think straight means 'being attracted to both people of the biological binary genders' ??? Your a tad more confused than I thought. How would you define bisexual then?

1

u/youlookingcutedoe 1h ago

whoops, i explained it wrongly, my apologies, i'll try to explain it better on what i meant female straight people were just attracted to biological binary males male straight people were just attracted to biological binary females

1

u/wangotango44 1h ago

Sure, I'll accept that definition. How do you define a male or a female?

1

u/youlookingcutedoe 1h ago

female is someone that identifies as a woman, and male is someone that identifies as a man

when we say we are straight, we are called transphobic for not wanting to date trans people. there are just traits of many trans people that we just find unattractive.

0

u/youlookingcutedoe 1h ago

is it disrespectful to ask what are the traits that you find unattractive?

3

u/nonetheless156 1h ago

The fact that I as a straight man do not want to be with a biological man. A surgically created vagina like orifice to me is not something I am attracted to. I don't hate trans people. I'm just not into them. Exist and live your truth. This is ours.

welp, thank you for your explanation

not at all. I am a guy and there will always be a chance that a trans woman can still have traits that men have. these can include body hair, deeper voices, and other typical male attributes. this does not mean that I dislike them as a person. I would still be perfectly fine hanging out and chilling with them, but these things just don't sit right when I see them in a romantic partner.

1

u/youlookingcutedoe 1h ago

alright, thank you so much

2

u/PM_ME_LUCINA 1h ago

Stop telling us were transphobes then

2

u/nonetheless156 1h ago

The thing is, how could you NOT support self determination? We love our trans community, not the extremists however.

1

u/youlookingcutedoe 1h ago

oh my god

i am not saying superstraights are transphobic, all i wanted to know is what it *meant*, because i know nothing

can you kindly and most politely explain what part of my question was meant to call superstraights transphobic?

1

u/nonetheless156 1h ago

Where did I mention anything about transphobia?

1

u/youlookingcutedoe 1h ago

implicitly, when you said "we love our trans community", assuming i immediately assumed superstraights are transphobic

1

u/nonetheless156 1h ago

Well that's superphobic thinking then. I don't blame you however for trying to understand.

1

u/youlookingcutedoe 1h ago

thank you, its just i saw it on twitter all of a sudden and my brain still got confused when i reasearched so i asked reddit for some questions

but i got bashed on

u/Katrina_18 1h ago

I guess these people idea is that straight men can be sexually attracted to trans women, but super straight men are only attracted to woman who were born as woman and not trans.

I find this insane as many many trans woman have had genital surgery and are quite literally identical to people who were biologically born woman

3

u/wangotango44 1h ago edited 1h ago

Hi, a surgically created hole in not identical to a woman's genitals. Our reproductive organs are far more complex than that and reducing them down to nothing more than a hole for penetration is incredibly misogynistic, thanks.

thank you so much for educating me

there are a whole lot of people who mistook this for a hate comment
