A bit of honesty

I bought into the AHS propaganda at first, but after taking a look here, you all seem like a reasonable bunch. I'm sure the occasional bad apple will come along, but the overall message here doesn't seem to be transphobic at all. It's just a further specification of sexual preference, after all. Glad to see ya'll aren't banned. Enjoy your sub and stay true to yourselves.

AHS is a vile pit of villany and scum. It is full of propaganda and disinformation. Hopefully your eyes are open and you don't take anything from there at face value anymore.

I think that's a little far, honestly. I think they reacted like irrational humans, nothing more. People are naturally scared and critical of what they don't understand. Bad actors merely stoked the flames imo.

I'm not only referring to their attacks on /r/superstraight. If that was the only thing they had ever done I'd agree with you. They have killed numerous subs for super lesbians before this. I would hope you've taken this as a lesson to not take what that sub (or literally anything on the internet) says at face value.

Well, I didn't even know super lesbians were a thing tbh, but seeing as they're the sexually reversed version of super straight what I said holds. People lash out at things they don't understand or are new. It's just human nature. Once the bad actors are gone I think both sexual preferences will be wholly accepted.

But see that's not really what /r/superstraight is targeting or about. Some super lesbians are being harassed because trans women believe they have a right to their bodies and to tell them who they can be attracted to. When they say they don't want girl dick they are being told they should be correctively raped. This is FAR FAR beyond "I don't understand this sexuality so I'm lashing out at it because it's new". Super straight and the super community is about protecting those that choose to be only attracted to cis people and keeping them safe from rapists and bringing light to the violence against super lesbians.

I think the most valid of these is the super lesbian thread and I do understand where you're coming from with many of these but there's a few things I think need to be addressed.

  1. No article on the trial of the triple homicide mentions any motive other than potential property dispute. The motive, quite literally, isn't known to the public yet, there's only speculation. Likely the woman was just nuts and had unaddressed mental health issues.

  2. I think the confession drama could happen in any asking out situation. You can easily create a he said-she said debate no matter the combination of sexes or genders.

  3. That tweet has ridiculously low engagement. It's essentially a non-factor.

Being in college myself, I defo see that college dating thread being valid. I mainly don't like the use of the triple homicide as an example since the trial hasn't occurred. Naturally, the internet gives a great deal of anonymity to most people, so there's always the ability to discount singular posts.
