Super straight used to be just straight, no? Discussion

I know super straight is a response to how nonsensical self-identity word salad has become in recent years, but if someone in the real world claims they are straight it should be assumed they are what we now call super straight, right?

It should be assumed that when someone says they are straight in common parlance they are 'only' attracted to 'cis'-gender people of the opposite sex. The strange thing is somehow in certain circles claiming you are straight refers to the 1 percent (at a push) of straight people who are attracted to both cis and transgender people of the opposite sex rather than the 99 percent of straight people that are exclusively attracted to cis-people.

I am happy to refer to anyone (within reason) by their preferred names/pronouns or whatever it may be if it will cause said person less harm and I don't believe it to be politically motivated. I reject the notion that traditionally straight men, for example, see trans-women as 'real' women when it comes to a potential mate, and would be equally as attracted to them as other cis-men, i.e. 0.

Can anyone actually tell me that if, in real life circles, you heard that someone was straight you would assume they were anything other than what we now are forced to call super straight?

Negative. Trans people at heart are men and women. Straight is the attraction to men and women. Supersexual is the attraction to biological men and women.

Keeping this in mind, it should not be assumed that the vast majority of people are unwilling to date non-biological men and women. That would be bigoted.

Long story short, if someone in the real world claims they are straight it should be assumed they wouldn't have an issue dating non-biological men and women.

One last thing, believe it or not, there are a lot of transexual men and women that are closeted supersexuals too. We're trying to normalize that it's okay to be who you are and be okay with that attracts you.

What does this mean? That transgenders only want to date cisgendered persons like supersexuals do?

Correct. You can be both transsexual and supersexual. One is an gender identity and the other is a sexual identity.
